My heart was so broken when I found out recently that the actor who played Bob is gone. RIP Frank Silva.. gone too soon

Yep...one of the great talents David Lynch had/has was being able to find weird interesting ordinary people and casting them as actors. I believe Frank was a prop master. Don't believe he was actually an "actor"... although likely he had to join the Union cause he did get paid playing BOB. His IMDB page doesn't list him ever playing any other roles besides BOB. And Catherine Coulson who played the Log Lady was one of David's assistant directors.
