Wow - Im in a wheelchair and blue cause my surgery has been delayed and Im facing another year or two wait for my operation. Your story tells me its ok, sometimes, to not be ok and I have to keep my eye on the goal, have faith, accept Gods will yet do mu part. Tears of joy, gratitude and a new found fight Thankyou. It's more than inspiration I feel - it's hope, faith in my Gods will - a knowing sometimes bad things happen to good people and there is always a gold nugget in the biggest pile of s#*t. Xx

Yeah, her story is so inspiring. And after all that, she still remains positive and bubbly. Probably b/c she knows she’s extremely lucky to make a full recovery despite what doctors said.

@Veromac100 Same here. Since I became aware of her story in like 2016, I couldn’t stop searching for videos about her story. It’s sad and inspiring at the same time. Think about it, most 11-year-olds have their own issues, Like starting middle school, fitting in work peers, awkwardness of puberty, being bullied, school work, family issues, etc. But Victoria had to deal with being “locked” in her own body for years.

Excellent story! So full of Hope! Amazing parents surely had a TON to do with her successes! Sharing to inspire others like me who live with rare conditions which cause pain like you're in flames and limit movement. "Tomorrow could be better." My motto since I was a kid has been, "Tomorrow is a new day!" That phrase has keep me going through horrific challenges. So, she and I share a secret of enduring and being resilient. Also, "In everything give thanks," to God is a favorite daily quote. Being grateful or thankful changes everything. God knew that when He gave the instruction. Looking for things to thank God for, good things and even bad things, opens up possibilities and changes my attitude. God wastes nothing. Pain is character building. And illness or suffering teaches lessons an easy life cannot. So, I trust God to do good with all of the bad, one hard day at a time, always looking forward to tomorrow. 💗

Ms Victoria Arlen, you had an Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) and Transverse Myelitis. With your mentality and determination to live, you achieved what you are today. Lu didckely if someone does the same thing what you, did, can also achieve, what you are today. If you read medical books, you can, read also that someone with your desease, can be better completly for 100%. But someone had to be determent. I think that you weren't paralyzed. You had, that your muscles had no strength, that is very different. When someones is paralyzed, you feel still the numbness. Than you know, you are paralyzed. Overall i do admire you, for your effort, willingness and your determination.
