kelly, I think you are great! I have told you many times I dont know what I would do without you in the middle of the night. Here in Minnesota the weather has been nothing but rain and flooding now that the rain has gone down and we are off the island it is going to rain so we have plans to take our special needs daughter to the parade always lots of planning for a week but rain or no rain we are going lol the nurse that works for us has been with us for 20 years. ❤ my sister lives on the route so we have a quiet place to go with her if it gets to be to much. I hope your cake turns out the way you want it to have fun swimming and have a great family day. Thank you for showing that other inks work would you try memento black if it works. I would love to buy the press if the memento works. I use your links alot so that would maybe will help for a kick back to you after all it is free for me to use your link. Happy 4th of July 🎆

I have been waiting for someone to show me how to copic color on betterpress. You were one of my first you tubers that I watched and consequently I am much more comfortable with copic coloring. Thank you!

Your newsletter host should have a bot/spam email address flag/filter built in program. When I got my BetterPress, the first thing I did was test their inks with coloring with markers. Then tested all my inks to see if they work just for pressing. They do. Gorgeous cards, Kelly.

I played with my new Betterpress this past weekend, and used both Simon Says Stamps inks and Stampin' Up inks on my press plates. I also used Canson watercolor paper. It all worked! Please continue to play away and let us know the results!

Kelly, I recently purchased a BetterPress system. I’ve been waiting for the pro-creators trial and error period. I’m so excited you posted this video and showed all the inks that work well with alcohol markers and the BetterPress! Many thanks for your expertise at being a superb colorist and an inspiration to all of us! I’m eager to try pressing and coloring a few cards for my floral loving friends.

I love using my Copics and so your research on alcohol safe inks for BetterPress is super helpful. These cards are so beautiful, the details you add to your cards make them extra special

Beautiful cards I’m siding with Eric. High 80s is too hot for a pool. 😂 Our 10 day forecast is nothing but 104+ and our pool is currently like bath water. You’d love it. It’s gross 😜

I have also experimented with various types of card stocks and inks and haven’t found anything that hasn’t worked well. My favorite thing about the better press system is that you look like a pro from your first print ( I totally recommend watching the spellbinders introduction to using it because I have seen other videos and they don’t do it exactly as it is meant to be done so if you watch that and get mixed results that is why) so do it exactly as spellbinders shows you using the supplies they send with the tool and then branch out and experiment. I have absolutely no regrets in purchasing that tool.

The Glue Press was one of those tools i immediately regretted buying. I kept trying to use the glue it came with using the larger tip and no matter what I tried it kept clogging. I thought that this tool should work best with the glue it came with. After watching many videos of people using the glue press and loving it I realized that at least 95% of them put a different type of glue in them. They didn’t use the glue that came with the tool. I tried to tough it out and use up all the glue in the original bottle but finally opened it and washed it all out and put Barely Art glue in one and the other bottle will have Art Glitter Glue. Now I like my glue press

These are fabulous! Have fun celebrating. I really don’t decorate cakes anymore but try royal icing, print out your words on your printer paper and put a piece of acetate on top (they do sell that at the cake store) and then just trace. I use the royal icing from the mix. Very easy!

In Michigan and set my pool at 95 it gets to like 90 and it’s wonderful like bath water. Especially since I usually swim in the evening when it’s cooler outside. 😁

Beautiful cards! You make coloring look so easy. Hopefully this time next year my daughter will be headed to dental school. Congratulations and good luck to your nephew. This is GREAT!!! I too, love the florals the Betterpress plates offer & I enjoy alcohol marks as well!! Now my question is: doesn't the watercolor paper "soak up" all of the alcohol ink & dry out your markers?? These cards are amazing as always! ❤

Instead of piping icing on cakes, remember you can always make a detailed stencil on your Cricut! Depending on the cake, you might be able to just dust powdered sugar through the stencil for a quick and easy sentiment. I want the letterpress so much, but that would mean also purchasing the Spellbinder's die cutting machine and my Gemini is perfectly good. Sigh.

It will work with other manual machines but you are right it won’t work with the Gemini. The pressure in those machines are incredible

I just placed over a 300$ order thru your link after watching you using the different inks and copics. Game changer... thanks for enabling me? I think? Thank God my paychecks don't pay the bills so I am able to get what I want when I want. Not everyone is that blessed. I think I have an addiction because june and July have really been an addiction possible for me. I don't get into a pool either unless it is warm... I would like hot tub warm, but my entire family would complain. Hot tub....im all in. Pool... not so much.

If your $300 purchase included the Better Press system you will not be disappointed. Your cards will come out stunning the first time. I would recommend watching spellbinders introduction to the tool and print a few like they show and then branch out and experiment from there. Congrats on your purchases. Sounds like a lot of fun heading your way

Gorgeous coloring! I learn so much watching you Copic color, in general, but I’m especially excited about this BetterPress option. Will Copics work on any watercolor paper? Are there other good paper options for using the BetterPress and Copic coloring?

I cant afford watercolor paper ( or any more supplies) so I may try this with my thick 120 lb cardstock and mist it before impressing.

If you get the glue press be ready to use a different type of glue in it. I think the Nuvo glue is too thick for even the larger tip. Mine was constantly clogging up and I was very disappointed in it until I put a different glue in it. I have Barely Art glue in mine now and I really like using it now
