First time reaction to Coppell: Really nice woodwind feature on the 50 to start the show. Very nice opener. It definitely got my attention. They have a very good guard. Love this music in the show. Love the pace of the ballad, staging the guard could use a little work. I agree with you, some of the guard does need to be closer. Very nice drumline feature. I love me a good jazz run section. Really nice to see the band finish in one big group on/near the 50. Being a Texan, there are so many bands to rank among each other, however I know that Coppell is always one of those bands that will be up there in the ranks of any competition, but I don't normally have my eyes on them. I just know deep down that they will perform great and will be up there with the big dogs.
