Your sorter is very quiet, excellent job! I want to make one, but add a feeder tube for a taller stack of coins, with perhaps a small vibrator attachment near the bottom. I will be checking back to get your additional information, thanks!

@Capactiance copper ones weigh 3.11 grams when uncirculated. mine weigh an average of 3.07 accounting for wear.

Where did you get the wheel inside with holes large enough for pennies?
@timramich11 жыл бұрын
Did you try other speeds of motor and conclude that this is as fast as it can go, or is it all you had lying around?

Nice use of the CD made one like this but I used the feed wheel for feeding the Comparitor

Hey there, I need your help please.. Can you explain to me the mechanism that you considered for the sorting? Does it involve the weight of the coin?? Please reply asap. Thank you.

@andrew0901280 you obviously cant load it and walk away,he never droped more than one penny in at a time,he has to wait for it to go almost all the way around b4 dropping another.

Neat device. Okay I understand that it is sorting pennies but what method is it using to differentiate between them?
@samtonroach85177 жыл бұрын
the coper pennies are 3 grams instead of zinc(1 gram) so the copper opens the trap door and the zinc is to light to open it.

@18wheeler76 Actually he can load it with a roll of pennies. 1:00

@voidenter Why do you say that? The half cent was removed from currency in the U.S., and other countries have gotten rid of their cent. The most assholish thing the US can do is get rid of the penny as legal currency, and make a law that you can't melt what "used to" be the one cent.
@freesk812 жыл бұрын
People invest in "junk" silver. These are pre-1965 US dimes and nickles that are 90% silver, or some newer half dollars that are 40% silver. You would be crazy to spend them for face value. But people do not melt them down for silver. They buy and sell them based on silver content. Well, the same thing is happening with copper pennies. You can buy them on Ebay if you like for well above the spot price of silver. No need to melt 'em down. They are trading for their copper value.

@epohnopulse thats not going to happen, the shock factor would be too big. to some.

Sorry, you can buy the copper pennies (wheat pennies for some) above the spot price for COPPER, not silver as I typed above. Oops! :)

@Haxpatty10 жыл бұрын
How do you cash the zinc pennies back in?
@kkirschkk10 жыл бұрын
just go to the bank and put the penny back in your bank
@Haxpatty10 жыл бұрын
Ok, do you know if Bank of America lets you do this?
@kkirschkk10 жыл бұрын
most should, you just pick up a ton of coins[ I do 1 days worth bescuse I drive by my bank to work,] and all my zinc coins form the day before I just cash back in
