It didn't for me. Netflix just kept my US account no matter "where" I was on Surfshark, also using Surfshark I had a TON more Catchas. And their "easy refund" process was like pulling teeth 'you suuuuuuure you wanna quit? how about we ask you 40 more times!' I had to resort to " you either refund me or I'm calling ALL the official numbers, and reversing payment on my card." ONLY THEN did they refund me.

@@morgan14366 inasmuch as nobody should be harassed like this by a person with legal authority, especially for a victimless crime, I agree. Inasmuch as older folks shouldn't be physically threatened because they are substantially more likely to be severely injured and veterans shouldn't be physically threatened because they are substantially more likely to have PTSD -- among many other social/moral reasons -- I don't agree.

Adult - baseline politeness Veteran - politeness + gratitude for the fact at some point they agreed to risk their life on behalf of your country and rights Elderly - politeness + reverence they have lived long enough to pickup wisdom Adult elderly veteran don't handcuff them, confiscate their car and throw them in your police car without exhausting every other option. This is not a law it's just what we agree is the socially accepted thing to do.

Devils advocate: They have animal control for that, and it sounds like they are in ongoing process to handle it. There's a reason why "like herding cats" is a turn of phrase, it's not easy to track down and get wild cats. They are notoriously slippery. If the government isn't handling the animal population then there are steps to take care of that. While CNR is a thing, it sounds like here the city has something ongoing and this is interfering with it. There is no real good explanation to why they would stop people from CNR unless it interferes with an ongoing process we don't know of.

I honestly hope his mother sees this body cam footage, I would love it if she sat him down with his grandmother's during Christmas gathering and had him try to explain his actions. We had a older woman in my town when I was growing up in the late 90's who did this too, New Jersey. I admired her heart and kindness. These women remind of her and they deserve justice. Just for just being as human as it gets, CARING for those in need...

In 1980 my 85 year old Grandma got arrested after she took the Amsterdam office for fishing licenses hostage. Brandishing a stilletto knife she chainlocked the front door from the inside and would not let anyone enter. Grandma claimed they were licensing the torture of the poor little fish. The police showed up and after promising to never do this again, they brought her back home.

This speaks volumes as to the root problem between the public and almost all law enforcement agencies/ officers. Someone was genuinely trying to better the community with no hidden agenda and this is the treatment received. The cops should have pulled up, found out what they were doing out there, and then offered to help them. That would've been serving and protecting the community. Instead the cops puffed out their chest & brought shame on themselves and their community. I have more thoughts on this interaction but I will leave it at this SMH

There's a lot going on about this situation actually, as well as many others. Unfortunately the mayor has a long standing raport and no one has come close to beating him in the elections. Same with the County Sheriff. I myself fall outside of the jurisdiction where I could vote against the mayor. I am not treating this as a joke either. The whole city is pissed about this. And I do believe there have been protests about this both at city council meetings and at the hearing. Feral cats have been a huge problem in the downtown historic part of town, although there is not a mouse, rat, raccoon, or possum problem. One of the biggest issues is the need for more animal control officers, and also better training for the pd in general. The pd is now running around in New unmarked cruisers all the time, with only a light bar on the roof. And yet they wonder why people don't stop immediately when they hit their lights. There's been a few cases recently around the area with fake cops causing issues, plus excessive force complaints, not to include this specific case.

I mean what would you think about a community that arrests people for feeding cats and then charges them? I’d move out. They could’ve just talked to the lady and expressed gratitude for doing a kind deed then informed her why they put up the sign in the first place then the problem would’ve resolved itself. I was wishing she repeated it a couple more times and loud. Since she was never trespassed for that area she shouldn't have been arrested but given a trespass warning.

They pay no attention if the cat have a owner or is homeless , OK it may start with a good intention , but you can"t do anything you want just because you think it's good , this kind of behavior bring a lot of problems , first , so many cases of cat's owners who never see their cat again, or when he come back he is sterilizated without any consent of the owner , and the cat will have a lot of problems in the future , he is exposed to obesity , heart issues , a change in his behavior , etc .. And in some cases , the lady cats left food for the cats they don't have sucessful catch , so it cause multiple problems , start with a proliferation of nuisible species because of the food outside , and many other problems ... Where i live in France , it's become a so big problem this kind of "lady cat" , the prefets of a lot of departements , departements are like your states , take arrests to prevent and forbbid anybody to do this unless they will face charges ... It's a good thing to try to help animals , but you can"t do it as you want ... And trust me , if the cops AND the judge do this in this case , it's sure there is a long story of complaints before , maybe neighbors or cat owners .. 😉 And sorry for my bad english , i'm still learning ^^'

3 cars, usually about 5-6 cops, this takes usually 45 minutes to a couple hours, plus court fines and fees additionally a judge and various staff. All in all this stop cost taxpayers upwards of $5000 for unlawful cat feeding by an elderly woman. If this is their regular course of action, taxpayers should throw a fit. I would consider this waste of money and resources embezzling.

Cats are extremely nasty invasive species. The reason why we domesticated them is that they tend to kill everything from small rodents to medium sized snakes. So they would kill pretty much all of the small pests around us, and we'd grant them protection from large predators. The problem with feral cats in parks and forests is that they tend to breed rapidly and then annihilate local wildlife of relevant size. Birds, small animals, reptiles. Everything is rapidly killed off. At which point, you start to have conservation problems where 5000 USD is going to be just a half of the first payment for figuring out the damage, nevermind actually trying to reintroduce relevant fauna back to the environment. That is easily a six-digit problem.

From what I've heard, they were not merely feeding cats but actually managing a community of cats through TNR. TNR helps CONTROL the amount of strays in a area as they are neutered then released, and fed at that same spot to keep them there. If anything, they were doing the city and most importantly shelters a HUGE favor.

The video said they are appealing and have filed a lawsuit against the city. Their lawyers have requested a jury trial. Lets hope common sense comes through in this appeal trial.

i'm 70, and few years ago, when i was still fit (!) i took a fall while rollerblading (lol) it took me weeks to recover although i was only bruised, i think i suffered mild shock, being manhandled by police when you're over 50 could result in permanent injury - the cops really need to learn a little awareness - like a pensioner is going to seriously assault an officer, even if so inclined. it's crazy.
