Becoming an Instructor in MD is way too easy and eventually become more strict. Theres an instructor every block and 9/10 of them are teaching horrific fundamentals and knowledge. And this goes for pistol and rifle, I feel like MD will start making instructors shoot every few years and take tests to keep their certifications.

There was an assumption on the part of the cops. They assume that, just because he had firearms that he was dangerous, i just because the words armed and dangerous are together in the same sentence. Does it mean that they are linked to each other their discrete ideas you can be armed and you can also be dangerous just because you’re armed does not imply that you’re dangerous and it seems that the only factor they use in determining whether or not he was dangerous was that he was armed . now you could also argue that they did it because of his race but we don’t have any proof of that, so we will ignore that.

I respectfully disagree. The current standard for police is extremely broken and in desperate need of a massive overhaul and a complete policy rewrite starting with removing their ability to investigate and police themselves. It’s obvious that police cannot be trusted with the overly permissive abilities they currently hold. We shouldn’t celebrate the fact that this man wasn’t murdered, had his rights violated, had his property and money wrongfully confiscated, or that he wasn’t verbally or physically abused. These officers don’t deserve awards for talking to him like a normal human being and conducting their business appropriately. Instead, we should punish those who don’t conduct themselves like these officers and strip those who feel the need to act like animals. It’s clear a large portion of those with badges and guns have no business with any authority by how they interact with people who they consider beneath them. The public shouldn’t ever be beneath the police but somewhere along the way things shifted from community policing and police officers being neighbors and family to citations, “killology” and training that tells cops that after killing a person they’ll go home and have the best sex of their life, and the fact that officers feel comfortable initiating contact with massive attitudes dripping with disgust and disdain for the public they are supposed to serve.

@@SuperKREPSINIS Sadly you don't hear about all the normal day to day interactions with police that happen . Sadly you only hear about the bad cops that do stupid shit and cost taxpayers millions every year in lawsuits. SADLY positive police interactions such as this video aren't published enough on youtube to demonstrate that not every cop is tyrant . So not I'm not brainwashed , I've just come to expect that when a video is on youtube and involves a black man , guns and cops , I expect the worse to happen because that's what garners view and discussion and is most often posted . To answer your question I have had a few bad police interactions when I was assaulted by homeless vagrant junkies and MY actions were called into question and the junkie was handled with kid gloves . There's countless videos on YT were people do nothing wrong in a police interaction , but because of a perceived slight from that person the cop arrests them for no other reason than to be a prick . Just remember this about YT and the internet in general , what ever you want confirmation on about in life you can find it by googling it .

@@SuperKREPSINIS It's not that we're brainwashed, it's the media effect. Media such as KZfaq usually sticks to bad interactions for entertainment to get views. So you don't see as many good interactions. Also it's not just being polite and answering the questions, as you know from many videos, some people will get confused or scared, or even apprehensive to some questions an officer will give, or reactions they have, because the officer themself isn't 100% aware of your rights to privacy and safety. If a cop wants you to step out of the vehicle with no reasonable suspicion of a crime or other reason like a frisk (in this case), you're not going to want to do so for whatever reason you may have (comfort, fear etc). If they want you to identify you with no reasonable suspicion of a crime, you don't have to identify yourself and have a right to maintain your privacy in public. If they come to the window shouting obscenities, no amount of politeness will change that fear they're instilling in you towards police in general, which hurts future encounters.

True. I immediately thought of the family who were held at gunpoint because a little girl allegedly stole a doll from a dollar store, as well as the family who were held at gunpoint and forced face-down on the hot pavement because they were allegedly in a stolen vehicle (when the alleged stolen vehicle was a motorcycle and the family was in an automobile). You can guess the race of the families.

This comment lacks so much context though. A lot of times when people are shot for having phones it's because they reach real quick into their pockets, and the officers only have a flash second to make a decision. You must not have seen all the videos where that quick flash of black from the pockets is in fact a gun and the cop ends up getting shot. It's very unfortunate when it's just a phone but that's why you make your guns known and keep your hands away from them and your pockets like this guy did. It's why he wasn't seen as a threat.

Dude like 98% of those guys “who had phones” do something crazy and erratic or don’t comply which leads to them getting shot. I’ve seen countless videos on KZfaq of guys pulling out a gun on cops within 2 seconds time and they were shot. Cops have a very dangerous job.

Think of how many commercial flights there are daily. When a crash happens, it is a major tragedy but does it mean air travel on the whole is unsafe? Do you think all airline pilots are to blame for a single tragedy if it was pilot error. What if the News blamed ever crash on pilot error? Never to follow up on the story to tell you it wasn't pilot error but some other reason for the crash. Now add in pop culture insisting that pilots are to blame for every crash. A reasonable person might start to think all pilots are dangerous.
