An update to this case: the woman who was shot by the two cops, Eboni Pouncy, lived since none of her vital organs were hit. She was with her friend in the apartment when they heard banging on the door and then the car alarm which had them on their guard and which is why Eboni approached the window with a gun. I obviously won’t post any links but google her name for the full story since she’s made a public statement on this

Could you imagine the outrage if they unloaded on the wrong acorn. lol It could have been an acorn that hit that car and set off the alarm. Acorns are out of control in this country.

@@GreenYandhi No this is true. If theres some big guy they need to wrestle down to the ground, female cops are usually unlikely to be able to handle that situation. It's not sexist or anything, it's just true in most instances. They're actually being put in danger by being 2 female cops together

Exactly, terrible planning on whichever admistrator did that. People are going to call you sexist, but there is no arguing that the average female can be overtaken by the average male. It's not that they have less reasoning or mental capabilities, obviously, it's that they WILL be forced into positions that require physical altercations and when they inevitably need to defend themselves, they will use lethal force.

She was 100% justified to go to the door with a gun. If she didn’t hear the deputies say what they were there for, she most likely was worried it could be someone else. I’m surprised she didn’t fire back at them, they didn’t kill her, or they didn’t hit anyone else in the apartment complex.

And to add. They immediately started firing. They could have shot innocent bystanders, what if there were more people with guns they didn’t see, the person with the gun innocent (which they was). The point is they didn’t attempt to deescalate or figure out what was going on. It’s just immediately someone has to die because I fear for my life and I don’t know what to do.

The victim was a 28 year old mom with a 1 year old daughter...30 shots fired and 5 hit her..she has retained one of the leading civil rights attorneys in the country since she is African American and the shooting may have been racially motivated. A similar incident involving an African American woman named Breonna Taylor happened a few years back where cops shot 32 times and 7 bullets hit and fatally wounded the woman in her own apartment after showing up at the wrong address...in that case the victim's surviving family was awarded $12 Million

They won’t get charged with it being racially motivated, the cops can say they didn’t see what the person looked like just that they had a gun. It won’t stand up in court.

Women make decisions based on emotions not logic or facts. Men use logic and facts this is why 2 women shouldn’t be partnered together and if anyone takes the time to research the facts you will see that my statement is in agreement with multiple studies by behaviorists and universities.

The numbers are evidence ID numbers. The empty shells will also get numbered. They are looking to find every single one. So they count the ammunition used by the police officers and find every hole. So if they fired 50 rounds, there will be 100 numbers at minimum, plus things like the broken window.

Houston is NOT the largest city in the US by landmass. Not even close. Jacksonville Florida is the largest by landmass in the mainland US, and there are a few in Alaska that are even larger.

I kind of believe most of these cops want to go back to civilian life and instead of just quitting they do the most just so they can get discharged from the force and keep some of the benefits. This is happening way too often for this to just be scared rookies with emotional outburst.

Unfortunately this is going to happen. These police officers handled the situation poorly, this however has nothing to do with defund the police. This is what happens when we can legally carry guns and police have to determine if we are a good person with a gun verse a bad person. Where i lived a armed security guard at a night club subdued someone who tried to shoot up the club. The police arrived and killed the black security guard because they thought he was the bad guy.

Although they are there to serve the public, police take officer safety very seriously. That thinking is probably why these two opened fire when they didn't get a verbal response and saw someone approach the door with a handgun. Regardless, that was effing nuts.

Yes they were pretty timid. But when you take the context into account it’s a terrible situation but an understandable response. They walk up to a apartment that has clear B&E signs (she literally did break into the apartment) and then a “suspect” walks up to the door with a gun. What else are you doing to do and Yes MAG DUMPING 64 rounds is extreme (women I guess🤷🏾‍♂️)

They could have yelled "Police, drop the gun", then if she raised it instead of dropping it, unload. If you look at it from both perspectives, and have to lay blame somewhere, it lands on the cop's side. The lady will get a big settlement if she sues.
