Hey folks, I tried your recipe tonight for my Wife and our 7 year Granddaughter. I used the recipe for both the sandwich for the Wife and I and I picked up some chicken tenderloins to make Chicken Strips for my Granddaughter who did all the prep except for handling the raw chicken. After her first sampling of the sauce, she started raving about how it tasted better then CFA. That declaration became even louder when she bit into the Chicken Strip. I made her four of them but her Grandma swiped one. Nonetheless, she carried on so about the taste and texture of the meat you would have thought she was a judge on Food Channel. In fact, we keep CFA sauce packets in the fridge so she got the idea to do a "side by side" taste test of the homemade sauce compared to CFA's. Her response was the homemade was better and that she could even tase the BBQ sauce in the homemade. Keep in mind again that she is only 7 but she and her Grandmother watch a lot of Food Channel. When it came the Wife's turn to get her sandwich, like my Granddaughter, she could not stop raving about the taste and quality of the chicken. I was the last one to bite into the chicken. After stopping my eyes from rolling around in my head like a slot machine, I said to myself: "Self you have gone and outdone yourself!" You guys have knocked it out of the park. Thanks for posting this FANTASTIC recipe.

I have never had the opportunity to try a chick Fil A, but I do love the sandwiches that Hardees sells. We grew up growing cucumbers and making our own pickles. I still do, growing and pickling. I am the pickle canning Queen in the family !!!!! yes, I also love pickle juice ! I am going to try this, but i do have a jar of store bought pickles and will use that juice. I am going to try this same recipe and use FISH fillets, got some marinating right now. Thanks for sharing your recipes !!!

Thanks Karen. My mother made homemade pickles all the time too! Nothing like it in the stores. The closest thing I have found to my mom’s recipe are Claussen Pickles. I can eat a whole jar in one day. Let us know how it turns out.

@@cookingwiththerobinsons Watching more of your cooking. You two are a good team, precious. fish were fantastic. i don't eat alot of fried foods, but treat myself occasionally. I usually make a beer batter, beer flour, seasoned salt., it's fantastic, something in the beer gives it ALL the flavor you really need, cayenne can be added. It makes THE BEST onion rings, mushrooms etc.Getting on to pickles, look for the little pickling cukes in the produce section, our store has them once in awhile. You can look up the copycat Claussen recipe, and make some. No need to can them, just refrigerate them you can make a small batch, worth a try. I make huge gallon containers and give them to my Granddaughter!!!! ( of course I grow my own )
