I love this. This is exactly what we should have. The right tool for the job. Not just one big orange noisey dosing pump that is supposed to do everything

New Hydros product idea. Hydros Dolphin/Whale/Shark- 250-350 ml a minute dosing pump designed specifically for continuous dosing and auto water changes.

I wish this had a higher volume per minute, like a 250 ml/min like the Neptune dos and the ability to run in reverse. For dosing live foods and or doing water changes.

They already have a program solution for auto water changes where you can use whatever pump you want - you're not locked into Hydros specific equipment unlike Neptune.

@@djmikefury1I know they have that but technically you can still achieve the same thing with any pump on Neptune by just using any pump(s), a schedule, and a high/low switch. I tend to agree, I prefer a higher end dosing pump doing this. It deftly has it advantages.

Can this be powered via command bus data/power or do i need to use the power supply? I have xp8 and wave engine LE

The Minnow is powered via Command bus either by a power giver like the XP8 and LE or by the provided wall wart.

Cool 😎, Love the idea that with some imagination it can be used as an standalone unit, for those that need a reliable unit, with few bell's and whizzes to tailor these for their needs (sense ports). Off topic... David, you mention at the beginning of this Podcast that you are Dosing Phyto in your Tank with your pumps. (By the way, if is the one behind you; looks stunning! "You will have to show us your Tank build and stock....buajajajaja!") My questions for you are... How do you keep refrigerated the Plankton while Dosing on schedules? Did you use live Phyto?

Thank you for your comments. Dave uses Easy Reefs SPS EVO and EasyBooster Which doesn't require refrigeration. Both come in suspendable bags and easily hook up to dosing pumps intake tubing.

@@CoralVueTV Cool🤘😎🤘... I thought, that the Spanish company went out of business. I got few bags around that I haven't use, I will look to see if they aren't expired, that's a story for another day. But from the first time I researches them, I was convinced by their products.

Sorry, the Minnow is unable to test salinity since it doesn't have a salinity/conductivity port. Only the X10 and the Launch have such a port in the HYDROS lineup at this time.
