Super review and I’m totally on the fence about battery or corded. Think I’m still think corded is better. But we shall see in the next review of this saw. 👍

Hi Tomasz. The saw looks like a quality item which I would expect being Trend. The price is on par in relation with other cordless top branded model's and battery power is definitely a good choice if your travelling around doing on site work as well in the workshop. It's worth a look. Tony

A quality looking saw Tomasz & good first review, but, as you say, if it's going to stay in a workshop better corded saws are available at that price 👍.

For cut capacity… i put a video on my Instagram cutting a 4”by 3” door frame splice back in summer 2021 before the official product launch…..So you can get it to cut way more than the 51mm depth of cut stated

Nice looking saw Tomasz, but out of my price range at the moment. Personally I prefer corded tools as there are no batteries to die and have to be replaced. But good review and thank you for posting it.

im not so sure on how necessary a cordless mitre saw really is. and for that money you can get a corded dewalt or bosche etc.

@@kanedNunable if you don't need cordless then you can get a great corded saw for reasonable money. I'll most likely have the cordless evo in September

I've just seen an unboxing of the corded mitre saw by Aldi and the details (but the battery, oviously) look identical.

i want a new mitre saw but i also want it to be used for the odd sleeper or 100mm high cut, which really limits me it seems. the dewalt costs a fortune and the erbauer seems too big to lug around and takes up a monster amount of space.

Yes it will be fairly difficult to pick, I know that Evolution will be releasing a cordless range so that could be an option ?

Maybe a dumb question, but when checking to see if the cuts were square to the base or fence, why would you only look for gaps? You could flip the cut piece and have no gaps but still be out of square. Why not show the results of the 45 degree cuts by putting a right angle square on it?
@CasualDIY
@CasualDIY 2 жыл бұрын
If the saw wasn't square, flipping the cut off piece will show that. For example you can see gaps at the top or bottom of the cut. That indicates where the saw is not square. When the 90 degrees is straight then rest of the cuts will be accurate as well. Unless there's something wrong with the saw. I just haven't thought of showing that on camera as it would not bring anything more to the video. The 45 degree is also fine if you are asking👍 can send you an email with a photo of it if you wish 👍

@@CasualDIY I agree if it's held against a straight edge or a square. The purpose of your demonstration was to show if the saw cut as square as your earlier tests showed. All the cut showed me was that the saw cut straight. That's not the same as being square. Otherwise the demonstration was well done.

I feel like the cut pieces need to be placed against a straight rule to act as the fence. By doing so, one can note the two cuts being out of parallel if the saw was not squared in the miter direction. If the saw cut is straight, but simply not on 0 degrees, you will not see gaps since you've not set the two reference edges in line. Hope that makes sense. Your test does however show how well the saw "tracks" along the cut.
@BrainFizz
@BrainFizz 2 жыл бұрын
@@stefanhummelink3662 a straight line is 180*….. if the cut is 90* one way, flipping it over gives you 90* the other side too…. If the cut gives say 89*, then the 89* flipped shows up the 2* left over as the gap. It’s just that simple. But yes the two pieces of wood need to pressed up against the fence or straight edge, otherwise your lining up two straight line cuts..
@stefanhummelink3662

@@BrainFizz Lol, offcourse the relative angles to the edge you referenced the cut of is like you say! But if you butt the two opposite edges together without a ruler against the initial reference edge to make it collinear, one will NEVER see a gap between the edges but instead a angled reference edge, which is not shown in this video. The concept of the check is absolutely correct, but the execution by CadualDIY was not entirely so. I wish I could draw it out here.
