It's a nice little screwdriver, bought it new when it came out. The base is triangular, containing the PSU and 2 contacts to charge the cell. I know now what's inside, for when I need to replace the cell. Mine's nowhere as used as this one, so hope to get many more years out of it

This is brilliant! I've lost the charger for mine, and if I remember it was quite a big heavy thing, so this USB-C mod is perfect. Will have to give it a try. Thanks! (Edit: Also love the carbon fiber trim!)

You can use a phone charger instead. I found my ixo on the street so it didn't come with a charger :) My ixo is from 2015 and for the 4 years I have had it I have used it every day at work.

That was great, I have the same model that looks almost new but the battery is gone, great to see what I need to do, BTW the upgrades are very cool

Best not to use abrasives for cleaning contacts. Regular paper or paper card soaked in contact cleaner is safe. Contacts can have a very thin coating that sands off immediatly. Learnt from xraytonyb.

Не совсем понял с зарядкой, на выходе модуля 7в. Не многовато будет. Или там какая то своеобразная родная зарядка

Very nice job with the charging port. It looks a bit crappy with the carbon fiber and the glossy finish... but considering that is just a tool... I guess that it works fine anyway.

The classic WD40 multi-use product should never be used as contact cleaner replacement. I use a glass fiber brush to first clean the contacts and then apply PRF contact cleaner to clean and lubricate.

A restauração ficou legal mas esse tipo de parafusadeira não serve para esse tipo de serviço (14:03), o motor superaquece e a bateria não aguenta a corrente que o motor exige para esse tipo de esforço, é por isso que se vê muitas dessas ferramentas estragadas e virarem lixo por mal uso de que não sabe operar.

I have used mine for years, but the battery is failing. What is the replacement? The LI-18650 I saw was too long.

They usual use a 18650. Yours may have a protection circuit and is therefore a bit longer. A bare 18650 cell should fit.

It ist absolute useless to restorate this old IXO, because a new one is so unexpensive. Thats the reason why i love your work, very well made. I own the same IXO an use ist nearly every day. But now i bought the last version, cause IXO 7 has 5,5Nm

You expected some kind of metal alloy? Well it's just for little jobs, not for heavy duties. Plastic gears actually works perfect on it.

A few years ago, I bought a couple of basically identical drivers from the German Aldi market. When taking them apart, to put in larger battery, I was surprised to see, that the cheap one from Aldi actually used a complete set of metal gears, while the Ixo used at least partially plastic gears.

WD40 is the wrong stuff to clean contacts. Use proper contact cleaner.

it's a shame, it's poorly made the bosh, I used a 10E, Budget screwdriver 3.6V 1x1.3Ah, which has double gears ,it has more power and rotates from 90 to 180 degrees
