Thank you for not saying or showing us how "You were walking in the woods and just happened to *find it under a branch* [freshly cut]. It's the only reason I continued watching, and decided to watch another. Well done from start to finish.

First I have to say that this was an absolutely fantastic restoration. Not only the mechanical but also the more complicated electronic aspects. You sir are a master craftsman. Secondly, I must complement the design and manufacture of this fine tool. It was clearly manufactured in a time where form and function reigned over low cost. I can only imagine what this tool must have cost new. Honest to god ball screw , thrust washers and aluminum castings; not the cheap blow molded crap that floods the market today.

I hope you had as much enjoyment doing that restoration as I did watching you do it. You have a very high level skill set and apply it making what most see as yard sale junk you bring back to life and upgrade even and its always a relaxing journey to go along on so in not so many words I thank you

Все прекрасно, кроме заточки. Верхний рабочий нож должен иметь подвод только с одной стороны, именно с той где есть спуск. Вторая сторона идеально плоская, иначе в скором времени этот секатор будет зажевывать ветки.

Very nice and fine work! Thanks.. if a suggestion is allowed, maybe you should heat and bathe in oil (maybe also wd40 could be ok) the blued parts.. otherwise I'm afraid they will get rusty in short.. especially for these tools to be used outdoor :) Thanks again for the video!

when there is more than one bolt never fully unscrew and remove one before unscrew them all slightly unscrew them all then remove them so you won't end up with a tight screw

Wow a proper ball screw. Nice! One of those cheap sonic tooth brushes works really good for cleaning parts. They run off of a single AAA battery.
@mndlessdrwer2 жыл бұрын
Or you can drop $20 on a relatively cheap rechargeable one and not need to worry about batteries for a while. Still, using sonic toothbrushes to clean parts with is an excellent recommendation, as they work fantastically well.

Those shears looked much older than i thought from the patina, but it cannot be that old given the brushless motor. Then again maybe brushless cordless power tools dident reach sweden until a few years ago.

Thank you for this video, i have a quick question, at 14:06 you applied a liquid to the now cleaned and prepped bolts and cogs, what was that liquid and what is the purpose other than coloration? I assume it is some sort of protectant?
@ored852 жыл бұрын
This is called "cold bluing", that forms a thin coat of iron oxide that prevents to rust
