Ok but when he raps it’s not natural punch lines he overdoes it (even tho it works for him) You can’t dispute the fact that when digga d spits he knows what he’s doing incorporating flows, bars, punchlines and all of that a better person to compare him with is no one to be honest he’s the best in drill but no one likes to admit it

To me it doesn't sound forced listen to this shits ments Digga d is cold as a complete artist don't get me wrong but, lyrically, KO is gifted. @@dffrnttd9474 ok if we’re gonna have a proper debate look at his daily duppy from the beginning he’d begin shelling but from the mutney bar and Demi lovato bar it became his whole rap each consecutive verse being followed by a punch line there’s nothing wrong with that but as an artist if he wants to advance I doubt he’d be able to make other music that can chart by having punch lines in his songs as excessively as he does now cus he’s not gonna make a romantic type song or a wavy song chatting the same shit whilst diggas approach can make him more versatile in the music buisness

Having a drill category doesn’t stop the tunes from being rated in the mixed genre category, you can still have the same tune as best drill song of the year as well as best song overall, What I’m tryna say is that he wasn’t making much sense since having a drill category won’t stop drill songs being nominated for other categories. Having a category actually solidifies it as a proper genre and will help it go even more mainstream

To put it simply, drill needs it's own category right now to preserve it's impact and history. Yes, drill gets a look in naturally right now because it is the mainstream sound RIGHT NOW. We don't know how the UK rap/hiphop scene and sound will evolve into, same way when grime was THE sound, no one knew then that drill would become the forefront sound. So if we don't have a drill category, it'll just be swept under the uk rap/hiphop blanket and it will not get the credit it deserves for the impact it has had/made in the scene.

Digga won’t be as a big as stormzy simple. Us ppl and our generation love him but he can’t go as mainstream as stormzy based purely because he’s a ‘drill artist’ and there will always be that comment that ‘drill insights violence in the youth’ For him to go proper mainstream like Stormzy he needs to be perceived as a role model, and that’s almost near impossible based on his music genre
