Especially from a proximity sensor, that could work in any bed surface material...
So in this episode, I will walk you through the addition of a 3D touch sensor, on an skr 1.3 TronXY X5S

The extension cable for the bltouch/3dtouch sensor on this printer is *2m* , and should be *AWG20* or *AWG22* .

This is exactly what I want to do to my printer I have a Tronxy X5SA and I haven't even gotten the chance to print yet because the sensor was malfunctioning right out of the box😡😭 please tell me who I can do this to my printer

Did you change your controller board? I bought a KINGPRINT gen V1.4 just to install the bltouch but it looks like you were able to do it with the stock board. How did you do that? Can you coach me though the process you used?

Greetings prince Henry, I 'm using skr 1.3 mainboard and Marlin firmware in all of my printers. (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLZ0oJpk3dXGgKM.html) The stock electronics are long gone... In order to enable this feature in your MKS Gen V1.4, you have adjust your firmware (0.50 @ this video) The firmware I used, is uploaded in my onedrive (there is a link in the description of this video)

Greetings prince Henry, The 3dtouch sensor is a good alternative to the stock inductive one, so the upgrade is somehow inevitable. Inductive sensors are prone to all sorts of interference and they can only detect metallic objects. (=> not the best choice for glass print surface)

Its possible to configure 3d touch as z min-stopper?

Greetings Martin Hyska, 3d touch is an endstop hall sensor. So yes, you can use it as a Zmin or a Zmax or any other min/max border detector.

I understand that, but on testing marlin get many times nozzle crack to bed. So it probably save only it specific command.

The sensor might be either faulty, or misplaced (to far from the bed surface), or misconfigured (check 0.49 in my video).
