Greetings tamamboylekalsn, It could work, but I can't say for sure. I don't have a giulietta, and I 'm not using the default fiat audio source (this is an aftermarket erisin HU) In your place, I would replace the faulty part, with a new one with the same factory code on it.

@@SteliosLiver after my comment i found a topic in an italy giulietta forum. apparently you can use blu&me unit with an aftermarket mic but i havent tried yet. a new whole unit costs about 120 dollars in my country but a mic is about 5 :D i will try it, original one is not working properly anyways

Greetings andreamarcelli3 , **The removal of default unit with the blue&you, requires a new proxy alignment.** The installation of an aftermarket HU (or any aftermarket audio source), is not configured as car default hardware, and therefore has nothing to do with the proxy settings.

Hi! I just connected pin 8 (MIC signal) and pin 24 (MIC GND) with a 2.5 mm TS mono cable (like the cable that comes with the aftermarket erisin mic) to the MIC-IN in the Head Unit. I used two Dupont 2.54 mm male pin, crimped to the two wires and insulated with a heat shrinkable sheath. In the settings I have selected MIC source as external, and the lowerest MIC gain. I can't get it to work, during the calls i hear some strange sounds and no voice. However if I use the aftermarket erisin mic that comes with the box it works. When I removed the Blue&Me I did a proxy alignment with multiecuscan to exclude the B&M module from the CAN settings (cause the KM was blicking in the cluster), but I think the original factory MIC should still work in any case. The factory MIC was working with the original radio. What could I have done wrong? What type of PIN did you use? Thanks!

I don't know if there's a 15 connection somewhere in the area, but wouldn't it make sense to connect power from there to the odb pin 16 instead? That way it is on whenever the ignition is on and still wouldn't drain the battery.
@SteliosLiver
@SteliosLiver 9 ай бұрын
True, but Ι only need the OBD BT adapter when I troubleshoot a problem, or when I 'm logging working parameters, and *not every time I 'm using the vehicle*. That why I chose this approach. This way, I can power on the module whenever I needed it. And I can also restart the module while driving.

Greetings adrianleano6685, The x5sa has the same printhead mounting plate with x5s. So yes it can be mounted as is, onto an x5sa. With a few modifications it could be mounted anywhere, as far as you can tweak the motors supply voltage, the steps per mm, and the direction of the motor.

Hi Stelios, brilliant 159 content. I hole to upgrade to the same Head Unit. Can you still recommend it? One year later? Do I solder both Red & Black cables to pin 16 of the adaptor... im new to all the electrical stuff. Thank you
@SteliosLiver
@SteliosLiver 10 ай бұрын
Greetings @myfavoritethings4504, The two cables of the JST connector are used to *interrupt* the power of pin 16 via a switch. You will *cut the cable line of the selected pin*, and you solder one cable *in each side of the line*. = This will enable you to cut power to one of the two outputs of the Y adaptor (the one that will receive the OBDII BT adaptor) The cable colors of the JST connector are irrelevant. Treat them as if they were both red. (since you are interrupting the + of the circuit). As far as the HU is concerned, I 'm still happy with it, though I bet there are better ones out there by now (don't know, don't care, since I 'm happy with this one) Would I recommend it? I can't recommend one product over the others, since I have experience only with the one I bought.
