I remember reading an old interview with Corey about why Craig doesn't talk and he said it was because when you get him going he doesn't know when to shut up especially when you talk to him about sports or stuff he genuinely enjoys.

I think the reason why Craig doesn't talk is because he has social anxiety or an anxiety disorder called selective mutism. I used to have it when I was younger and I still have really bad social anxiety.

Back in like 2010 he used to go to a bar that i frequently visited, i didnt know who he was until my musician friends started fluttering to him. He is very quiet and very chill. He does talk, but only if someone was trying to talk to him, and even if i was two seats away i could barely hear him. It was fascinating to witness all of this.

It’s funny I was in a band that I will not name. That is still a band. And our tour manager knew Craig from past tours. We were in Texas where he lives with his wife. So he came out to our show and invited us back to his house. I wasn’t a huge slipknot fan so I didn’t know Craig didn’t talk. So it’s funny after the fact to hear he didn’t talk cuz That night he talked plenty. Very cool guy who absolutely loves music. I got to put on the original Craig mask with real nine inch nails in it. Very heavy and very uncomfortable.

I had a friend exactly like Craig when we were in school. He wouldn't talk all day. Eventually I'd say, "shut the fuck up Mark!" He'd smile then go back to listening. Once we all separated after high school, i saw him a couple years later, i guess he had been getting into meth. Dude literally wouldn't shut the fuck up. I think once he found his voice he had years of shit to say.

Had a buddy in highschool who was the same way. Just started hanging out with our group of friends after I hung out a bit with his original group. Didn't say a word, but he was a master of body language. You'd ask him a question and he'd answer you with a shrug, tilt of the head, fown, and other stuff Corey was doing. Only time I ever heard him talk was when he had to read something in class, or the 1 time I went to his house. Mike was a good guy, wonder what he's up to now.
