Iowa is known for two things: cornfields and Slipknot. Corey Taylor is an incredible singer and musician. If I'm not mistaken, this is the same concert where he was booed (jokingly) for not playing the Spongebob Squarepants theme song and he basically rolled his eyes and sang it, and the crowd went nuts. It was hilarious and you could tell he enjoyed it. Great guy.

Corey Taylor is the hardest working man in music today period. He writes and tours with Slipknot, as well his other band Stonesour, as well as doing intimate shows such as this one. He also does some promotional work and works as a producer for lesser known bands/musicians. Legend has it the man never sleeps lol. I've also had the privilege of meeting him when he was helping a band I used to play for get on track for a tour we were trying to out together. Down to earth, humble, kind, and all around just a good man.

The guy in the crowd at 5:40 into the video nails that ooh oh. It's a tough song for Corey to get through and that dude has his back!

Innamusic, the pain he's feeling singing this song is different from the pain he felt when writing the song. This song was originally written about a Woman who Corey loved but he felt didn't love him back. The pain he feels now when singing this song is the pain of his close friend and band member dying, and how the lyrics also apply to his death.

Before he was in Slipknot, he was, and still is part of a band called Stone Sour. More rock in their style. Really cool band. Going far back. They released some songs in the 90's. Some of the best written songs of Stone Sour. I can't believe - Imperfect - Miracles. Perfect song writing.

Hate to crap anyone's jam as music is sacred & may yours Bless you, but Corey doing this solo crap ruined Slipknot forever for me! Might as well have Slayer break out a banjo & put on cowboy boots & hat & pop off some Garth Brooks in middle of set! He could've done anything anonymously & got his little solo guitar player kicks every stop on every tour if wanted & would've gotten an HONEST reaction with no one being the wiser he was masked serial killer Thrasher! I mean, I only heard their 1st big album when came out & was psyched maybe something actually kinda new & interesting, being that Metallica was nothing special when broke big, nor Nirvana if knew any underground Thrash at all! But 2 friends who caught their sets after 1st big album said they sucked live. I've seen videos where they rocked tf out, so guess it was because of seeing at a festival before headliners, but once another friend who was a big fan showed me Corey trying to play fukn Pink Floyd I couldn't take them seriously anymore if my life depended on it! Oh well, sucks for me & irks tf out of me as can tell. I said fuk em all by late '90's & dug into the real mofos, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Willie Nelson😂, anything but fukn "Nu Metal" bs! SMGDMFH!
