The drought we have been dealing with is taking its toll on our corn this year, causing us to have to start chopping our corn earlier than we'd like. After a repair to the 1066 and the return of the bagger it's time to get chopping again. The International 1256 on the New Holland 790 Corn Chopper gets right to work. You can really see the difference in the corn throughout the field. Back at the farm, the International 1066 is running our bagger while the 830 Case is hauling chopper boxes back and forth. We finally are on to our last field.

Trinity Dairy was established in 2006, in Minnesota. Alan and Jennifer farm with their 5 children; Jessica, Justin, Jordan, Joshua, and Jason. We milk a mix of 33 Jersey, Holstein, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, and Ayrshire cattle. We also enjoy sharing our family's love of Draft Horses and using them for logging and other farm work. Dairy Farming in Minnesota can be challenging, but it's a lifestyle we really enjoy. Subscribe today to watch our small family dairy farm and family grow while continuing to thank our Lord for the blessings we've been given.

So I am not the only one who gets distracted by the scenery! Sometimes I find it hard not to wander down by our river and contemplate the beauty of nature in fact the older I get the more often I find myself wandering through our land just looking at the flora and fauna most farmers haven’t time to stop and look at.

Hi Trinity dairy, love silo filling time. We were fortunate to have ample silo capacity, so we didn’t have to use bags. The bags make good feed but I never liked all the plastic garbage left over. Towards the end of the video, it looks like your planter was goofing up, corn looks like it was not uniformly planted. Great video, take 🇨🇦🚜👍♥️

I think the planter is OK, but we had a lot of germination issues this year, with it being so dry.

Thank you so much for the video. I needed it today. I'll bet that silage smells lovely. Also watching and listening to the river flow was so nice. My sister went to a local cider mill this week and brought us cider and doughnuts. They were delicious. I guess the Mid-Michigan area had a very good crop of apples, although I thought it had been very dry. I am glad you finally received rain. Hope you continue to get it in maybe smaller quantities more often and not all at once. We are getting the same thing. I enjoy looking on NOAA to see the weather for different regional KZfaq channels. There appears to be a lot of colder air coming in, in your area, and North and South Dakota have frost and freeze warnings for tonight (10/6). Hope things really work out well for this winter. It will be interesting to see what happens. I wonder if you could do one thing for us, In the area under the video would it be possible to type in the approximate date you filmed this. It is interesting to compare your weather with ours. If it is a hassle, don't do it. It is just a suggestion. One of the people I watch does this, but of course she tends to film things far earlier than the date she puts it up, so maybe that is the reason. Anyway, long story short. Thanks for the video. Hope your family keeps well and have a good fall. Take Care.

enjoyed your explanation on the Case and like to see the IH pull that chopper and wagon on some pretty sidling fields. I got to briefly run my uncles 56 series, but we had wide duals and mfd front wheel drive on our steep hills. Your explanation on harvesting with moisture interests me as I've never been around large areas of corn or silage.

Case's biggest flaw with the Case-O-Matic was getting the operators to run it the way it was designed, steering clear of the "don't do's" you listed off.

We're chopping about 50 acres total this year, the camera makes the fields look bigger than they are. The tin was moved back, for the grinder attachment on our old picker. Definitely a big relief when it's done.
