Native American Day is the 4th Friday in September or the 2nd Monday in October, depending on which state you live in.
Native American Heritage month is November.
For this fun craft, I will take you and your child through a step by step process on how to make these historical toys.
I know you can do it because my very hyper 4 year old and 6 year old boys did. So anything is possible! lol

Corn Husk were purchased at Cardenas Market. Any Mexican market should have them. If you dont have a mexican market nearby, you can get these all year round at your local Aldi or Staterbros.

Indigenous Peoples Day: 2nd Monday of October or 4th Friday of September
Columbus Day: 2nd Monday of October.
Indigenous People Day was created to recognize native populations that were displaced and decimated after Christopher Columbus and other European explorers reached the continent. Columbus day was temporarily changed to Indigenous Peoples Day in 2019. Debates whether if deleting the day would be erasing history or not are the reason for the "temporary" decision.
