I think the easy answer is Dylan Raiola, but better answers are Gabe Ervin Jr, Bryce Benhart, Teddy Prochazka, and MJ Sherman. Ervin Jr has the potential, but can he stay healthy? The OL was physical last year, but they weren't great and they gave up a ridiculous amount of pressure and opportunities to bad defenses like Minnesota, Colorado, and Michigan State (none of those teams except maybe Minnesota had even an average pass rush). That's on the OTs, and protecting Raiola is paramount. MJ Sherman is a player who was highly recruited at Georgia, can he explode onto the field this year?

Great video 👍. You gave me a lot of information about the position battles. I hope the kicking and return game is better this year because a lot of teams on Nebraska's schedule have good special teams. In fact, all of Nebraska's final three opponents should have Top 25 or better special teams units.

From what I saw at the spring game in person, Emmett Johnson was a clear #1 RB practicing and playing with a chip on his shoulder working to prove he’s RB #1 I believe it’s very likely Ramir and Gabe take 1st snaps in first games but I believe Emmett Johnson’s will have a breakout season and lead the team in yards

I've been telling people since they offered him that Jacorey Barney is special. Don't be surprised to see him burst onto the scene in a big way this season, making it hard for Rhule to leave him off the field. The WR room is gonna have a big rotation for this reason. People forget about Malachi and Alex Bullock too with all the new shiny toys but those boys will contribute as well. My RB1 pick...ugh, that's so hard to say. But I'd say stick with EJ. He has proven he can run between the tackles, stay healthy, & has the breakaway, big play speed that we need. But I also am rooting for Rhamir. Dude has stayed loyal and put in his time. Praying he has a breakout final season too and surprises everyone. GBR! 🏈🎈🌽☠️ My "prove it" player? Hard to argue any as important as Alvano and the kicking situation. Agree with you 100% Conner.

my biggest question mark goes to kicking gam.............all very talented but spotty PLUS new long snapper -- Iowa was good MAINLY due to a generational punter...............the kicking game is a MAJOR question.

I sure hope so. These past few years haven’t been so hot for us running the ball. No doubt the quarterback play will be elite but if we can run the ball well, we can be a real threat to any team.
