When coronation street was great

So great acting back then, it was honestly like they were so real! It so realistic, the script, just the way people spoke like they were in the house. Audrey so totally different!!!

Audrey was so utterly self absorbed. She would have been impossible to live with. I know she is only a character, but she plays the irritating selfish woman very well. She has no filter at all.

The golden years

A rather unlikely couple, Audrey, although an opportunist, had to be asked twice before they married. Alf admired her beauty, but had trouble with her flighty, irresponsible girlish ways. Both got what they wanted and Audrey often openly and publicly expressed affection for Alf; whether she meant it or not was another matter. She always remembered him fondly after his death, so I guess she meant it. Mostly.

In the scene with Bet early on, the character was meant to be 43 in those scenes, as she was 47 when she marrried Alec in '87. To me, she only looks about 30!

Can't watch Coronation Street anymore.It has lost its charm.The new tangled writers have wrecked it with ridiculous storylines.Got no empathy or feelings for any of the characters.Will stick too the old ones.

What happened to the Lounge at the back of the Corner shop in later years to present, never been seen again just blocked off with just a small storage room or something or was reason for no back room caused by a some sort of a crash?? (The back room scene starts from 10.00 min)

Remember them using eerie music when Alf was carted out to the ambulance. I guess the intention was to make the scene more dramatic, but it made it look a bit naff. I mean, they didn’t need it for the Rovers fire episode.

How is it that this, and other, KZfaqrs can post videos like this? Yet my home video movie made at Granada Studios Coronation Street Tour in Manchester in 1990 was "taken down" after being online for 9 years? The video was a home made "episode" of Corrie. I suppose it was due to Eric Spear's theme tune which I used in the video? So, WHY aren't Corrie videos taken down like mine was, and the posters THREATENED like I was??? I think it unlikely I'll EVER post anything on KZfaq again! 👎

I’m not interested in watching this, Alf and Renee would have been much better as she was a lovely character, it’s a shame they killed her off. Audrey is very unlike able so dislike from me 🤷‍♀️
