The Original plan by the producers was to make Bill Webster and Linda a couple, but they found out, that she had no charisma like Pat Phoenix had. BTW, the Creator of Corrie, actually regretted the casting of Dennis Tanner, he thought the actor who played him was 'too camp' - and regrets not giving the role to Kenneth Farrington instead. BTW, I love the way Billy is creeping around Emily AFTER finding out about her money LOL.
