@@MrPatrickworthington exactly. I can understand Paul would be concerned for Summer because he was the victim of child abuse by his step-dad but like Summer said he wasn’t there.

It needs to be said, though, that Daniel did, unintentional, give Summer the wrong idea. Giving her just a little too much special attention and what not. I don't think he's the bad guy, either, but it can be a very thin line between being kind and helpful to showing an interest in someone.

This isn’t on Summer, it’s on Max for jumping to conclusions and making allegations without any evidence.

The victim here isn't Summer. It's Daniel. Summer has a stupid teenage crush on Daniel ... I'm sorry, but Summer doesn't have my sympathy. Max has "exaggerated" things, but Summer did it all by herself, created a movie in her own head.

Yeah, this is what I believe. It’s all Summer’s fault that Max is thinking what he thinks, I think he genuinely did think there was something going on and I understand why because Teacher’s don’t normally give pupils a lift home from School and he saw that and he found a love poem that Daniel gave to Summer. Also, when Max announced that Daniel had been sleeping with Summer, Summer ran off and made it worse and when the Police asked if Daniel ever did anything to her, she looked worried like she had something to hide, for a minute I thought Summer might’ve been in there and we didn’t know why Daniel was seeing Daisy but we didn’t know. It all makes sense what everyone said put together but Daniel was only helping Summer with her School work. It’s all Summer’s fault what happened.

False accusations - either deliberate or misconstrued "innocent comments" are extremely rare. You need to ask yourself why you aren't quite so outraged by the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of instances of actual sexual harrassment and assaults committed by male teachers over the years.

poor daniel and summer more like. paul is just being paranoid and billys just playing catch up. male authority figues are vulnerabele to these kind of rumors because their jobs place them in a position of trust over vulnerable people. my brother is a cop and when he was wrongfully accused of impropriety with a child my father went completly apeshit. he nearly got the government involved. luckily it was sorted out and most importantly the child is now ok.
