ok so i wrote an email to ITV complaining about Corrie promoting domestic violence against men. Here was their response: ''Many thanks for your email regarding Coronation Street. All dramas fall into two categories either Tragedy or Comedy and Soaps combine a mixture of both. Coronation Street lets its viewers look down on the residents of Coronation Street coping with life’s trials and tribulations. This means that highly dramatic situations have to be addressed and pursued, including violence against the person. These moments have to be balanced and within the requirements of the Broadcast Code as to what may be said and shown before the watershed and we go to considerable lengths to ensure that we fully comply with its requirements. As you will know violence is not something new to Coronation Street and we have always reflected the less than savoury side of life in the UK within the show and the programme has featured dark and sometimes controversial stories going back over many decades. Nevertheless I can assure you that your comments have reached both our Producer and Series Editor and I hope your concerns do not detract from your future engagement with the drama we show in Coronation Street. ...I was in 2 yrs with a man...they do hidden stuff...creepy stuff in bed, his friends all came on to me & he didn't blink an eye at them. People didn't used to think much of women hitting men, but now that feminists are screaming equality all the time (people like you really know the meaning of equality) I find them promoting stuff like this just brazen impudence. Its a real hypocrisy

I'm going to be complaining to itv tomorrow about this, you may laugh at me but I'm actually fed up of male rights being neglected. I'm not a man but I'm observant enough to see how this society is not at all fair for men when it comes to violence. Would we ever show a woman getting hit by a man for comedic purposes, even if like Steve, she 'deserved it'? Didn't think so. Feminism is just about cherry picking the best parts of equality for women it seems. If we were truly equal, we'd be getting punched by men in comedy for laughs, just like Steve in this clip. It's not about whether he deserved it or not. It's about the pure hypocrisy, the fact that if Tracy cheated on him, he would get arrested if he punched her. And I don't think you lot would be laughing, would you? So if any of you really do care about equal rights, then you'd find this unfair and complain to itv, like I'm doing. I'm not stupid. I'm logical and consistent in my beliefs.

Did you mention the concept of double standards in your email? I rang itv about the Tracy punching Steve scene ages ago, and they said pretty much the same thing as in your email. I was considering ringing itv again regarding Nina punching that boy, should I?

@@aliciarichards6634 yes this is how I started the email: ''hi, On Coronation Street recently , Roy's nice broke Jamie's nose and she was applauded and seen as funny. This is promoting domestic violence against men, this constantly is done in Coronation Street and I find it utterly offensive. Abuse towards men by women is seen as comical and not an issue.'' As you can see in the reply he gave me it was wishy washy and they neither admitted fault or really addressed my complaint.

First, to the youtuber who post the video love your videos keep up it and and stay safe. Tim(who always been funny)and the catfight was hilarious. I be honest I never liked Tracy, Steve, and Leanne until just recently. Tracy and Steve relationship is built on lies, cheating, manipulation, using a Amy as a weapon, or an excuse. Leanne never liked her because the way she handles our relationships with men, her back and forth relationship with Nick, but what's happening with her son is making me have a change of heart. It's sad this is happening to him at such a young age I hope he doesn't die, but only time can tell.

Why did Steve go back to Tracy, I mean her lies and deceitfulness cost him his relationship with the one woman who he's ever truly loved, Becky.
