They may not view any corpses as inherently valuable, so it's not necessarily racist. Some may believe that they're lying to promote the truth. Sure this body isn't alien, but some are, and we need to lie about this one to make others realize the truth. Lots of people have fallen down that rabbit hole with all sorts of issues.

I don't believe that any scientist, let alone a scientist attempting to prove the existence of extraterrestrial corpses should be interested in effectively de-legitimizing any of their research or findings by forging and desecrating a corpse. No scientific body interested in the truth would fake evidence or their findings, only those interested in money or notoriety.

Like your comic collection, house, plants, pets etc. So while I wouldn’t care if someone ate my corpse or studied it for science. Is still wouldn’t want any... obscene things to happen to it, like necrophilia or, in this case, getting it turned into a weird art piece for some lunatics to prove something (would be down to turn mine into an art piece though, but it would need to be a good one). Please reexamine the location of Israel, the cultural origin of the Jewish people, and the color of Jesus's skin (many people have suggested that there is good evidence that he was likely not "white"). I very clearly said that Christianity is a major part of western culture and history. But the middle east ain't the west, dude.
@thatjillgirl

Okay, one last time here. Yes, Christianity is a major part of western history and culture. That does not mean it originated in the west (it didn't) or that the central figure of the religion was of western origin (he isn't). The cultural heritage and geographical location of Jesus has nothing to do with whether a "Christian western civilization" exists. Christianity: Popular in the west. Jesus: Not western. Got it? If you don't, too bad, cause I've repeated it three times now and that's all I have time for.

@@tho2ea No, Jews are not necessarily white. Read about how the Ashkenazim (European-descended Jews) came about, and understand that Jews can be divided into other groups, like Sephardim (Mediterranean Jews, from both sides of the sea), Mizrahim (Arab and Persian Jews, possibly others) and the Beta Israel (Ethiopian-descended). Other black Jews exist in the West among converts and their descendants, and there are even small groups thought to be Jewish in other African countries, among other places.

@@thatjillgirl You're basically arguing that because humans originated in Africa, Europeans aren't European. TehSkullKrusher doesn't even need to be a whale, I've seen a decomposed raccoon claimed to be an alien / escaped genetic abomination on the internet before. Google montauk monster. There are even conspiracy theories based on it even though a quick glance at its teeth shows it to be a raccoon.

@@robokill387 - To be fair, the majority of us have no idea how weird land mammals look when you remove the hair or fur. We certainly don't know what their teeth look like. Some years ago, the 'Cracked' humor site had a listicle about the frightening skulls of ordinary creatures. There were terrifying drawings of fanged monsters -- and pictures of a rabbit, a seal, a muntjack, a platypus, and others.

With cephalopods, what washes up is usually missing several tentacles and has been chewed on by sea creatures. By the time humans find it, scavengers have also had a go. They look like giant globs of meat until the experts get a look at them. And hell, those photos of shark and whale carcasses don't look anything like the live animals. But that's still no reason to default to 'previously unknown sea monster.'

True enough that does happen a lot, but back in the day the corpse of a giant squid was brought in at a time when a giant squid actually was an unknown species. While this is certainly the exception to the rule it also reinforces the rule about getting the facts straight before making assumptions one way or the other.

vitaminanime LOL no they don't use orphan meat in their burgers. But back in the 80's they were using kangaroo meat till they got in trouble for it. The problem wasn't using kangaroo it was that they were labeling it as 100% beef. & that's what got FADA down on them. They then relabelled the kangaroo meat from being 100% beef to 100% 'meat paddies'. & the FADA was fine & let it pass. It's not illegal to sell kangaroo meat in a fast food restaurant. It's only illegal to call it beef. 🐮

The "Chopper" case is my favourite paranormal hoax. In short: A violent-sounding spirit voice started to talk from a sink in a dentist's office. Media ran wild and the biggest authorities in parapsychology in Germany jumpend on the case. In the end, a dental assistant was caught shouting in one of the pipes in the cellar. Professor Hans Bender, head of the parapsychology department in Freiburg believed it until the very end. That's the reason why there is no department of parapsychology in Freiburg anymore. I also worked at a mortuary in Quincy, .CA. Death is most often a a very natural event thus called the great equalizer. Keep up the great work on informing the public. Maybe some day you can explain how the young lady found in a water tank on top of an L. A. hotel, was water logged, thus causing the FD having to cut out a larger hole to remove her. She could have easily climbed in the tank. Ends up a floater then becomes water logged. This happens all the time folks. The large amount of floaters are more often then not recognizable anymore. Water especially sea water will distort a human face in horrible creatures. Thanks again for these great videos!

Hey my dearh bae! Actually I wanted to talk about the German corpse fabrics, as the subject is quite interesting for me. In my home time, which is Gdansk in northern Poland, we had this Institute of Anatomy. During WWII, a guy named Rudolf Spanner was successifly experimenting on preparing human skin AND making soap from human fat. He was getting the bodies from Stutthoff concentration camp, a nearby asylum in Kocborowo and people that were executed in a prison at that time (also soliders). I really think not too much know about this case, which is funny for me, because I was growing up with this story. We even have a board on the ex anatomy institute building, which says a little about what happened there. I recommand a polish documentary, "Mydło z ludzi" ("human soap") by Mariusz Olbrychowski. :D

And as to how you felt about all the testing on these real bodies. I wonder if they’ll get any legal action taken against them. I’d like to see more videos like this it is very fascinating

tiff2106 My mother took German in high school and would sing "Silent Night" each Christmas in German. Sometimes she'd pop out with some phrases she had learned, too. I always thought it had such a beautiful sound.. Silent Night in German brings tears to my eyes when I hear it! I've been laughed at for saying I think it's beautiful, everyone else says exactly that- it sounds harsh. I think some of the beauty of it, to me anyway, is that it sounds so honest and sincere, and I really do just love the sound of it! I've even watched KZfaq videos that I have no idea what they're saying simply because everyone was speaking German. Unfortunately, when I was in school, German was no longer offered... If it had, I would've taken it. You're very lucky to have such a beautiful language for your native one! Beautiful language, beautiful culture, beautiful people! My best to you and a good life!

I’ve been watching your videos for only a week now but I love it. My mother has always talked about her death and so has my grandfather so I know exactly what they want. Also I come from a tiny town in the Midwest and we have the same funeral home that has been used for so many years as it just keeps passing down and I wish they would look into more natural stuff. I live directly across from our cemetery and it’s very quaint and nice, however for once I would like to see a natural burial.

Great video Caitlin!!! Thank you for the amazing content!!! Going with the theme for "The year of action", here's a little PSA for anyone reading. This isn't just death related. It's living, dying, and being a human related. No matter what walk of life you may come from this pertains to you. Whether it be "corpse hoaxes", "fake news" or anything in between. For articles that you read online, saw on television, or heard from a friend. Literally any and all new information that is presented to you. Before reacting to whatever it may be, take a moment. Please, PLEASE do a little follow up research before taking something as fact. No matter what side of the isle your on, or where ever your loyalties and beliefs may lie, please take just a moment to do a little fact checking. Here are some helpful tips below. 1. Consider the source. The so-called mainstream media may not be in everyone’s good graces these days, but by and large, such time-tested names as the Associated Press, New York Times and NBC can be reliably trusted to check their facts before reporting something. That’s not the case with sites run by the National Report ("Solar Panels Drain the Sun’s Energy, Experts Say"), World News Daily Report ("Old Lady Shoots Husband for Stepping on Floor She Just Mopped") and Currentish ("Fireworks Explodes [sic) in Woman’s Vagina During Walmart Shoplifting Attempt"). If you’ve never heard of the outfit that published the story, there’s probably a good reason. 2. Examine the publisher’s website closely. Some of these sites openly admit their stories are fiction or satire in the "About Us" section of the website (if they have one). World News Daily Report even states it on the front page: “All characters appearing in the articles in this website … are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any person, living, dead or undead, is purely a miracle.” Others hide their true identity behind cleverly conceived web addresses. Adding an extra ".co" to the end of its URL allows a site like abcnews.com.co to pass itself off as better-known and more trusted news brand. Don’t fall for it. 3. Consult the experts. If something seems a little dodgy, readers can turn to a number of websites devoted exclusively to debunking fake news. The oldest of the lot is Snopes.com, founded in the mid-1990s by David Mikkelson to fact-check urban legends circulating at the time via email. A more recent entrant is FactCheck.org, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, which tends to focus more on scrutinizing the statements of politicians and other public figures. 4. Check for quality. Many fake news websites don’t even try to do things properly, eschewing such traditions as proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar. Lacing headlines with words in all-capital letters is another favorite tactic of fake news writers. Also be on the lookout for exclamation points and headlines that insist you "MUST READ" something. 5. Check to see if anyone else is reporting the same thing. It doesn’t mean the story is not true if they aren’t, but with even reputable news sites regularly “borrowing” and rewriting stories from other sites there is rarely - if ever - such a thing as an exclusive or “scoop” in the internet age. Rest assured, if Justin Beiber pledged his allegiance to ISIS, it would be big news and be reported far beyond your Facebook feed. 6. Don’t stop at the headline. In fake news items, the facts often don’t even pretend to back up the central premise and the sources cited tend to be less than credible. A quote from "Fappy the Anti-Masturbation Dolphin" in a story about the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools should be a dead giveaway. 7. Finally … just scroll down. In the case of Facebook, the easiest way to check if a story is true or not is often to read the comments below it. If a story is false, it’s a safe bet that one of your friends has already called it out as fake in the comments section. Thank you for talking the time to read this. Note- I sourced the tips from aarp, whom had sourced it from snopes.
