A true wookie mistake would be thinking ewoks are close relatives to them. This is more a case of thinking all wookies are Chewbaca's it's darn near specieist. All wookies do not look alike Seth!!!!!!!!!!!! Wookie lives matter.

I've never seen one segment improve a whole show so much. Whenever Seth says "you guys will see me" it always feels like a better, more ordered world - where people mean what they say and say what they mean.

All of it has been intentional. I’m sure they made some legitimate mistakes to start the process. All of the jokes in corrections have been made on intentional mistakes. Seth admitted it, go back a few corrections he directly says I’m surprised that the jackals missed this. Mistakes that are intentional and then shout outs to the audience that gets them

Norwegian here: I regret to say it’s not pronounced “munch,” as in “I like to munch on carrots.” The pronunciation is closer to “moonk.” That’s said, the new Munch Museum in Oslo has the word “munch” in huge letters at the top, and all I can think about is rabbits comping down.

Correction: So “he’s a Dracula” was obviously a call back to the “he’s a Chewbacca” correction, and that was funny because what you meant was “vampire”, but Dracula famously had a shadow. Even if we forget the no sunlight rule, since it’s not always applied, a shadow would still be present, also the board should have a shadow regardless. In trying to think of something that doesn’t cast a shadow the only thing that reasonably came to mind was “ghost”. So the joke should have been something like; “he’s a Casper”. A ghost Skateboarder, destined to spend his afterlife reliving his landing on the railing over and over and over again…

Not to be critical (he lied), but the “ch” in Munch is pronounced with a “K”, as in book. Think monk but with the “oo” as in moon. Moonk. I think Americans constantly mispronouncing his name was the reason he painted “Skrik”.

I'm sure it's already been said, but that red sky that Munch mentions might have been the eruption of Krakatoa in 1883, which was heard up to 5,000km away and colored the entire world red for days.

Corrections is one of the best things you've done, Seth. You're so much more relaxed when you're just talking versus reading the cards. Plus, the way you approach Corrections is more personable.

Yes, I find that when I listen to "Corrections" Seth's slow pace, and earnest, calm voice always relaxes me, and I sleep better. Sometimes I even fall asleep before he's done.

Correction: Another issue with the skateboard picture is that the skateboard would need to be in front of the skateboarder, because the way the trick is performed, it could not possibly have slid off to to the side.

Dracula doesn't appear in mirrors, but I think he has a shadow. Also, if he was in sunlight like in the picture his skin would be burning. Maybe that's distressing him more than the skateboard fail. Or perhaps the figure isn't a vampire, but is two-dimensional and in perfect alignment with the sun, like paper.

Actually, in the original novel, Dracula indeed casts no shadow, but more interestingly isn't harmed by sunlight. It weakens him, and disables most of his powers, but he can roam around in it to his heart's(?) content.

If you watch this video with captions, where Seth says "let's try to make this year, 2022, the year with the fewest corrections ever" at 10.40, the captions read "let's try to make this year, 2022, a big year with the fewest corrections ever." So, not off to a great start.

Question: does the stranger know you’re in their apartment? I recently heard a story about a mother/daughter who thought they had an animal problem in their attic, but it turned out that their neighbour had moved in. Why did he move in to his neighbour’s attic? Because his house smelled too bad from his massive pot farm. He had a bed, small refrigerator, toaster oven, and microwave up there. 😂

@@xzonia1 he creeped around at night, which is even scarier when you think about a man roaming the house of a young girl and her mom. At least he was a “stand up guy” and just took residence in their home and didn’t do anything worse. At night, he could just leave a door unlocked and come and go freely. These two must have thought their house was haunted on top of the animal problem. I don’t think I would sleep someone coming and going, but then again, kids sneak out of their house all the time. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Minor correction - In a Zoom (or other video conference calls) you don’t “turn on your screen” Seth gets it right later.

Except vampirism is not a species and is instead a disease similar to rabies that creates a dietary loop and acute porphyria, with the only treatment being the consumption of oxygenated blood

@@ctomsky Depends on the source. One way to create a vampire is to drive an iron nail through a person's shadow, causing the shadow to be trapped in place and the person to become a vampire.

And while porphyria might be an explanation for vampire-like symptoms in the real world, it does not apply to the various fictional interpretations of the trope. For example, Irina the Vampire Cosmonaut specifically characterises vampires as a species.

hmmm... "Real" fans implies the existence of "fake" fans... in my opinion any fan of seth is deserving of enjoying his jokes. Also, the show started in 2014 and The Thorn Birds gag started in 2020. By your definition, a real fan only would have started watching in 2020? Sincerely, a day one fan. ;)

CORRECTION: 10:06 I thought that the horse pudding was not actually horse flavored or made of horse, but was in fact made for horses, as you said in the most recent closer look. Why would PETA care if there were no horses, or animals of any kind harmed in the making of the pudding? Horses are herbivores, so I doubt there would be any animal products in a pudding designed to be eaten by horses. Best wishes, Jackal

I definitely felt the subtext and tone of voice, plus "I don't want to talk any more about it" leads me to believe the joke implies a pudding made from horses. I might be reading it too closely, but I admit that's where my mind went, and it made me laugh until I cried!! 🤣🤣🐾 P.S. I'm an animal lover and in no way condone horse pudding!

Okay so, we HAVE to ask about the laughter in the background, right? I doubt its just canned laughter, but I have to know the logistics. Are they like, in a zoom call with you watching you do the segment and laughing along live? And how are we hearing them? Is the audio playing through speakers? Or do you have to record it and add it in post? Or is it not live at all and you have to do the segment to complete silence and then they watch the video later to record their own live reactions to it and then add the laugh track in post? If that's the case, are you even aware that the laughter has been added? Inquiring minds need to know Seth!

I personally think Seth is behind a plexiglass screen in a corner of the studio. All the crew is out side and there is a sign saying, NO NOT FEED THE SETH! or DO NOT TAP ON GLASS AS IT SCARES THE SETH!

@@ellenlanderson I love your version. It can't be zoom, because you can hear multiple people laughing at the same time. Zoom only picks up one person's voice at a time. So it's either piped in after the fact or it's your version.
