I meant Corrie Ten Boom in 1974 when I was in a Christian drug rehab called dare I had the honor to give her a little silver fish I had made she is a wonderful lady sad but I know she is with the Lord she ministered to all of us and especially me she is one of those that really love the Lord

Exactly!I'm 59 and feel the same way! As far as I'm concerned,Corrie Ten Boom is a modern day apostle. She allowed all her suffering to empower her in the Lord.There is no one who comes close to emulating the love of Jesus.There's so very much to learn from her,as you say!!☺

Awe, that was so sweet. She prayed for a whole street, I pray for the whole world often and how many times I feel silly for it but how can I not?

I read The Hiding Place and saw the movie decades ago but I didn’t know all these talks were on KZfaq. Corrie’s talks are a treasure

I always enjoyed listening to this Godly woman, praise the Lord for people like her. I have truly been blessed just to listen to her. Even though she is no longer here, what an impact she has made on people's lives through her ministry.

I first Learned of Corrie in my teen years. She is the reason I became 💕 on fire 🔥 for the Lord. I would have been so honored to have met her. There is a book called The Last Five Years Of Corrie Ten Boom. I regret that I can't recall her last Companions name. Corrie had decided to buy a house in California, near where Thomas Kincade had built a home. I can't recall the City. I got the impression from the way the book was written that she was just tired and was ready for Corrie to pass on to the Lord. A few years before, Corrie had a dream that she was in a dark place and could not get out. Shortly after, she had a stroke, or was in a kind of state where she was unable to move or speak. Thats is how she spent her last two years. And she died on her Birthday. I mentioned that about her companion only because I would have done anything to have spent those years with Corrie. I Love her very much ❤

I loved that book. I didn't get that impression from it. I think it was very hard for Corrie to endure such silence & confinement, especially when she longed to go home so much, & she didn't see how God could have any purpose in keeping her here unable to speak or " accomplish" anything. It was a time of more suffering, & surrender to the will of God. I've spent the past few years in bed, & after being so busy & in ministry all my life it's very hard to adjust to. Corries story has encouraged me many times.

AMEN!!!! Corrie was an impatient lady. Kindred spirits.🙏 Such an inspiration! I'm going to take Corrie's advice and point out a verse in the Bible, LORD, You said , in John 14: 13, 14 that *"If I ask YOU anything in YOUR name, You will do it."* *Please do what You said you would.* Well, Corrie is with the LORD, I wonder if He's looking at Corrie with a playful 'scowl' , *"See what you started, lady?"* 😇😁 Intercession: Running a Triathlon you don't remember training for.

1. God gives us the gift of joy when we give him our burdens. It then becomes he's responsiblity for the outcome. 2. God sees our burdens through our eyes giving them great importance. 3. Intercession is extremely important. He works through intercession to save the lost. 4. no such thing as unanswered prayers

So blessed from listening to her. For some reason prayer seems so hard... as a mom so much to do. When the baby goes to sleep I need to just do it. So much wisdom in these recordings of her. How would she ha e ever know that during all of the sufferings she was in and around she would end up blessing so many people even outside of her meetings.

If you don't have time to pray, throughout your day just remember to say, "Jesus, l surrender all to You". Or, "Lord, l thank You for helping me". Whenever you think of one of these, just speak it, or think it in your mind. They are short prayers to God. My God's Grace and Truth be with you, through Jesus Christ. Amen. 🌹

Thank you so very much for posting these! I met her when I was very, very little. Unfortunately too little to understand what a blessing she was to the world. I remember her eyes, smile and tattoo she showed me on her left arm most. I pray you will do well with your t-shirts. Lord bless and keep you in His care. 🌻

It's hard to understand all that she's talking about when we can't see the visual aids she's using. But I love the sound of her voice, always liked her accent so much. We are blessed to have so many great recordings & videos from her before God took her home. Her books are wonderful too.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NASB

Corrie Ten Boom stands alone to talk about surrender. This is not the gospel preached now as it is not popular. I still remember the day when I was a child that she came to my home.

It saddens me that "Dame Corrie Ten Boom" was never called by her rightful title after being knighted by the queen of the Netherlands. Is it even on her tombstone?

Why does her audience laugh and cheer like she is a stand up comic???
@carolreed75323 жыл бұрын
It is joy that is unspeakable that makes us laugh when others scowl. They are cheering from joy and free expression of that joy cannot be contained always.

Oh my! Laughter is joy that cannot be suppressed by concern over what others might think. It is a sign of the freedom the Spirit of gladness gives to ALL who can receive it. Please, give your heart the freedom to laugh and cheer the Lord for his mighty acts

Yes, that is sadly the result of unholy persons listening to godly souls, it is surprising to them due to Faith Holiness and Prayer not being their daily practise... A microcosm of human response to Deity... The time of God's Sovereignty is Now, The Kingdom is at hand... Jesus is LORD

MamabearF, That’s what I’m thinking too, because it stopped after a bit. (Although before it did she asked them, “Why are you laughing?”)
@elizabethscott30484 жыл бұрын
No, not inappropriate laughing, but rather our generation has forgotten how to laugh and be light hearted. We have also forgotten how to applaud. We no longer applaud to greet someone to the podium, after the candles are blown out, or in the joy of life. Laugh and applaud, it’s music to the soul.
