as a gamer that comes from a laptop with chiclet style rubberdome keyboard i find this keyboard very nice to use! the low profile part was why I bought them and I fell like it did take some time for me to get used to the mx speed switches because of the non tactile feedback, it didnt really take that long until it felt almost weird to use a tactile keyboard! the actually not really noticable noice of this keyboard is actually a key point for me because i hate loud keyswitches since it distracts me alot while typing and gaming. all in all as my first mechanical keyboard I feel like these are great!

In terms of key height, the majority of mechanical keyboards have keys the size of skyscrapers and are difficult to type on if you're not used to them already so this is a nice change. The lower profile keys will be much easier to type for those coming from older or normal size keyboards.

Thanks for the review. I am interested in a very low profile keyboard is for 2 reasons. I have grown accustomed to using a laptop over the years and simply prefer my keys as low as possible without needing a wrist rest. Elevating and putting the legs up only adds more wrist strain over time. I'm on a keyboard about 12-14 hours a day. The lower the profile, the better... but if I'm going to buy an actual keyboard, I'm going to move away from membrane.

Mine is very sensitive to the touch so you need to be a accurate typist. I like it but it takes getting used to if you're coming from the MX reds/blues. Mine has a slight metallic din when typing on certain keys but this seems to be going slowly. Worth the £159? No, I'd say £119 would be fairer. Forgot to say great video Briony!

Thank you so much for your review. I have been using Logitech 810 and then 513 and they are pretty pretty good as I wanted linear and silent. But they both failed me after a year because both of them has the same double tapping issue. Believe me, I tried all possible solution to get those fixed but they just don't. Where as Das keyboard using the same Omron switches with almost 2X the price of Logitech. Is it that logitech collect the bad Omron switches or something, because it's a common complain about their Romer G switches. All has the same double tapping issue and I have seen people ditching the logitech keyboard for that and now it's time for me to move on from Logitech to something else. I am planning to buy this keyboard and I hope it won't fail me. Thanks

You completely missed the point of a LOW PROFILE keyboard... It has ZERO to do with portability... Many of us typists HATE the insane Z axis height of most mechanical keyboards, and prefer a LOW and FLAT keyboard, to eliminate wrist stress, and speed WPM... Also, the feet are terrible for ergonomics... For best comfort / performance, a keyboard should be as flat as possible, even tilting slightly down and away from ones wrists. Summary: Low profile is for comfort and speed.
@rastanz

Dude you're missing the point of the review... it's her own interpretation of the key board, if you have issues with some of its physicalities then make your own video review and address them instead of going off like some know it all... not ALL typists will agree with your personal preferences.

Getting wrist/finger symptoms of tingles and numbness or pain are very typical for overuse that in long term can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome. It's particularly agitated by the angle your wrists are when gaming on a typical full size keys mechanical gaming keyboard, and especially if you use the legs to lift it up. The carpal tunnel is at the wrist, where the nerves go from your neck to your fingers, those nerves get compressed when the wrists are at an awkward angle or continuous left-right movement of the mouse hand, or repeated thumb movement when using a console controller. "Gaming until numb" is never a great indication. As for the keyboard, as @phrog chief already said, low profile keys are more ergonomic, particularly for long typing/use, and also added plus is the huge wrist rest that puts the hands in a flat ergonomically supported state. I've been looking for a low profile keyboard since Razer discontinued their Deathstalker, which has been my keyboard of choice since they released it. Some indie brands have made them, but only in the 60% format which is not for me as I need the numpad quite a lot.

I've been looking for a new keyboard for a while. Still rocking my Logitech G510, unfortunately the stupid Romer-G keys, non replaceable really, but what i LOVE are the many profiles you can make, and that the profiles auto switch to the profile matching the active program. So, Chrome, Photoshop, Windows, Games, they all have their own profiles and they all get turned on or switched to automatically. Only having 4 profiles as some things have, and you have to switc them yourself, is useless. I use my 18 G-keys extensively, so i want those, and i know Corsair has these keyboards wit G-Keys as well, although probably not the loe profile one, but they do not auto switch, so it's useless. Most other keyboards have the same problem. I was looking at gaming keypads, most have about 24 programmable keys, but the same problems with profiles and switching. Therew is the very old Logitech one, but that's old, expensive for what it is, and not worth it, i'd love to see that updated, but really, if i want a new keyboard of gaming keypad, i want it to be a Corsair. They bought Elgato, great stuff, but blocky, has basically one orientation, i want it the other way around, but it's not flat, kind of a fail, why would you ever design it like that ? Always design it flat and have orientation options, most basic thing ever. I really hope they'll make a gaming keypad with auto switching profiles, and enough profiles. The Elgato Stream deck with more keys (i need more) is cool with the screen keys, but then not worth it to me, i'd want to also use it as a gaming keypad, layout wise. I feel Corsair is THE company to do it right, or MAYBE Logitech, but they'll use their annoying keys again, and i want to be able to replace them. Just a gaming keypad, 24 keys minimum, thumb d-pad or a few buttons and a spacebar (their gaming keyboards should have like 3 buttons underneath the spacebar, wasted space, thumb underutilized), fully RGB (i want lit keys, mine are always on), i like the thicker font, i like the media keys, just add more (auto)profile control, have a good adjustable wrist rest, and they'll sell. Just do it right.

i like this board. my personal 3 downsides are: "low profile" is a joke to a person that is used to laptop keyboards like the cherry evolution stream and the logitech iluminated. its almost 3times as high. second is the wirstrest. for my taste and keyboard positioning, its to long, deep or whatever you wanna call it. i wish it was cut in half. as far as ive seen, there isnt even an option to order a shorter one from corsair. correct me if iam wrong about that. third on is the price. might depend on where you live but here its 189€. and might i add a forth one? the font!. still iam thinking about getting one

6 Months late but if you haven't got anytthing yet, you should consider Tesoro Gram (not the mini version as it has some quality issues). I used it for few years and I really enjoyed it, too bad that they don't sell SE version or TKL version in my country, would have rebought it. :p (It's not broken yet, but it had blue switches and I wanted something quieter and some of the switches feel like reds even though they are Agile Blues. Just wear and tear for using it over 2 years.)

This keyboard is strange: it is low profile, so you suggest that it is for portability, but noooo... It doesn't have bluetooth and even there is no detachable usb cable. It could also could mean that corsair is planning to start using type-c connector for their wireless version of low profile mechanical keyboard, so now they just make those wired.

The keyboard functionally is great with a sturdy build quality... but the video doesn't exactly capture the actual pinging sound of this aluminum plate mounted on a plastic frame. I never noticed the ping until someone mentioned it, and now I can't ever unhear it when I'm typing. On the bright side though, the stabs come satisfactorily lubed for a pre-built... I can't imagine how bad it'd sound if the stabs were horrible.
