Same here. Even when not wall mounted, it's much neater when they go straight down and far easier to cable manage. Plus, I'm not accessing those ports all the time. I attach and remove my laptop to my monitor every day, but that's just a USB cable clipped to my desk, I don't touch the monitor side of things

True. Also I'm not a fan of that stand. The monitor sits a good 40 cm from the wall and the footprint is huge. It's gonna take a huge chunk of your table space. A desk clamp style stand or a wall mount is pretty much a must. Same is true for many other 32 inch screens, like the Samsung G7 (which costs way less and has HDR600), but this one looks especially bad.

@dynastes4938

@@walospk4279 To make it quite simple: The ability to display an enourmous range of colors (which the panel of this monitor can, it covers over 80% of the Rec. 2020 color space, which is quite massive), does not make the display represent them accurately. Not only that, but accuracy depends on the color space you are referencing against. sRGB content will be pretty inaccurate on this actually, at least while using a wider gamut mode, since the expanded gamut makes it difficult to map the intended tones correctly. Only a sRGB clamp in hardware or a ICC profile can fix that. Then again you do not even WANT color accuracy for gaming much of the time - many people enjoy increased vibrancy far more. Let it just be said that the statement such as it was made is even more inaccurate than the color gamut of any display could ever be wide :P ;D

@David Jung i have only had keyboards from corsair but i've had one at work and now bought the 2nd one for at home, not because the old isn't working anymore but just because the new one has more features, but i have had 0 issues with any of these keyboards, i've also owned a razer blackwidow chroma, mamba and kraken and can assure you that all those razer devices were both at least 3 times worse to use and 2 of them actually started to malfunction after only 2 years of use, so if i were to compare corsair to razer i'd say corsair makes good stuff for a really acceptable price, but if you were so convinced it's garbage, then which brand is so much better for so much less money in your opinion?

@@s13shaka , this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. I will pay more for a brand if and only if they have better QC or customer service. Corsair doesn’t operate in my country so any customer care is non-existent. Corsair doesn’t really innovate either so why should I pay more for less? For example I bought their vengeance rgb ram stick for $479 that’s 32 GB 3466 MHz 16-18-18-36. If I’ve done anymore research I would’ve found a gskill kit of 32 GB 4000 MHz 17-18-18-38 which is a tier faster for almost half the price ($250).

@@Alm8hoorOW You're exactly the type of person I am talking about. You live in a fantasy world where you think some companies, like Corsair, just charge whatever they want with no real world money spent on R&D or the products themselves, and stupidly believe they charge a 'name tax' just because they can. I paid extra for Corsair RAM because I wanted it to match the rest of my Corsair products and have it all perfectly sync RGBs through iCue. It works great and I dont regret not even a single iota spending the extra money because the convenience and aesthetics that come with a single unified lighting ecosystem is something some people consider to be valuable.

I run iRacing and I agree that if they could get the picture to go to the edge of the screen with those thin bezels it'd be a great monitor for a sim rig. Especially if you buy those sleeve inserts that semi hide bezels. it'd be VERY clean and seamless. I know some people aren't fond of those, but I've seen a few iRacing streamers like Dan Suzuki implement them VERY well. The quality of results with them is really based on your viewing angle. the monitors need to be set just right for them to properly hide the bezel and bleed the images across the monitors together. Great first impressions on this. Seems to me like it's a respectable first try from Corsair.

The real monitor tech tip is to lay the monitor on its face, then hold the arm of the stand to tilt up the bottom as most ports aren't labeled on most monitors. Inserting the cables this way makes it easy, and gives you the ability to see what you're doing, while preventing you from doing the caveman squat. This way all you have to do is pick the whole thing up and set it where it goes.

This is essentially the monitor I've been waiting years for, something I can both work & game on. That being said, at that price point you could literally just buy a 1440p 100% Adobe sRGB creative monitor & a separate high refresh rate gaming monitor & have double the screen real estate for the same price. Also that stand, as beautiful as it is, has an unacceptably large footprint. I'll wait for the 2nd or 3rd generation of this thing. If they can get the price down to a more reasonable $600-650 I'd consider it. Do we know who they're sourcing their panels from?

Still waiting for monitors and or TVs to come with their own built in LED bias lighting on the back of the monitor. You'd think with iCue support they would have tried to integrate that. Legit 165hz, HDR 400, 100% coverage in both areas, 32 inches, G Sync compatible and everything else is identicle and it's an amazing monitor! I paid a whopping $380 for it I believe which is half of what Corsair wants for theirs so hell no do not buy the Corsair monitor also the IPS version of my monitor was the same price.
