I love it when mouse actually have accent color on them, like actual color not just lighting. feels like they have their own personality that make them visually different from other mice. biggest example is Logitech G502 Proteus Core, MSI Interceptor DS300, and this Mouse.

This changed my life the day I got it. Coming from playing in consoles made it difficult to have so much going on in the keyboard only. This made since and felt natural within minutes. Just my experience.

Love the way this looks. Would like to see something similar with a few less buttons as a sorta FPS, MMO in-between. Like the splash of yellow also but they should have white so between the three colors everyone could match their rig.

Think I will be sticking with my Razer Naga MMO 2014 for now, but i do like the fact you can move the 12 buttons to fit your needs.

I like the shifting buttons thing, but I love my razer naga chroma. All mechanical buttons on the side make a huge difference.

For everyone who wants this but hates the yellow, they also offer a completely black version as well

I've had the Scimitar for about 3 month now. I'd say the biggest Con of it is actually the software, it supports lots of features yes, but often it just doesn't work once every few start ups, I gotta restart so the macros work and sometimes even replugging in the mouse. Never had sweaty palms though, even through the Australian summer

There was a mouse like this that allowed the button layout to be altered. That looked cool. These buttons are just to small for my giant thumbs :x

I own the Scimitar and ended up shelving it after about a week back in December. I really wanted to like it, since it feels so nice in my hand but there were too many issues. The Key Slider didn't really fix the issue of buttons being awkward to press. CUE is awfully broken; lift off distance doesn't actually work, the mouse locked up a couple times a day, plus some other minor gripes. The USB connector is massive and can be an obstacle if you need to hook up multiple devices. Also, I really do think a thumb rest should have been included and the mouse widened a bit more for the little fingers support. Probably the worst offender is that the mouse has a huge amount of drag on cloth mouse pads because the feet don't give it enough clearance to slide smoothly (on an aluminum pad it's less noticeable).

I test the scimitar. The use is amazing but as you I got huge hands. It will great to have a model for those cases. Just for comparison I get the SteelSeries Rival 300 and is like a glove perfect fit. It will be great at some point get these for big hands applications

This is a little late to the show but since this mouse is still a current product I have to warn people about it. The top buttons can only be used for profile swapping and adjusting your DPI. If you attempt to bind them to a different key or macro they will perform that function AND their original function. Which for me means that this mouse will close my games if I attempt to use what was my push to talk when I was rocking a naga.

Really not sure I could get used to quite that many buttons on my thumb. Prefer a keypad instead.

I think there are few key features very we'll implemented by Corsair into this mouse making this a very interesting choice for MMO gamers and more. The 12 side buttons are very interesting in how they managed to use different textures in groups of 3 by 3. Also the fact that the whole buttons segment can be slightly slides is also great. It can make a huge difference. As for DPI sensor we all know is a marketing thing for sometime now. It is also known that you can reduce the sensitivity and cannot increase it beyond the limit. This is something to consider. So personally I have no issues here. The colors are something very subjective and doesn't improve performance. Still overall I do think that despite the sliding buttons this mouse may suffer the the same issue any MMO mice does and not to be compatible to all who want to use it comfort wise. That's because there's a certain ideally position of your hand over the mouse to take all the advantage of those sided buttons.

I've had this mouse for about a year, and really wish I could give a positive comment about it since I really love the design and function. Sadly the switches are of very poor quality, both the left and right-click buttons are starting to wear and require alot of pressure to hold. RMB scope aiming in fps games is very frustrating, and the LMB double-clicks like a geriatric Razer Mamba sodomized by a 14 year-old for 10 years. Sad thing is I haven't used it even 1/3 as much as my old G600, and that one still works perfectly.

Actually with all of the different keyboard commands on the right side of the computer keyboard and that you have to take your hand off WASD/movement keys or the mouse, high-button mice are used by some FPS users to stay in control at all time.

i wish they made the yellow shroud removable with different color just like they did with the fan

I think I need to find a store that has a demo so I can feel it first! I currently have a Logitech 660, but this may be more comfortable.

I got mine a month or two ago and have been practicing with it, it's nice, but the side buttons could be JUUUUUST a little bigger. They are kinda small, pointy and hurt my thumb after doing arenas for a long while. If these buttons were say the size of old telephone numpad buttons this would be PERFECT. Seriously considering trying to mod mine somehow...at least half the buttons are textured differently with the center one 5 being in the middle of the curve with a little special nubbin on top of it to help feel center base. still...tiny little buttons...

For me, this was awkward at first but what I figured out was to set the gap between the 6 and 9 buttons to exactly match the gap location between the two mouse buttons of my previous mouse. $49 it's a bargain.

Can you manually edit macros with an editor once you export the settings?

With the corsair scimitar do you fin with the right click your finger touching the rubber finger rest?

My 3 year old Logitech G600 is finally giving out on me, so looking at the new MMO mice on the market. I absolutely love the Scimitar's design and build quality, but the fact that it's missing a tilt wheel, and a ring finger button like the G600 means I'll be picking up another G600 instead this.

how are the buttons on the side? is it really possible to press a specific button on it considering they are small and close to each other?

What mouse and keyboard do you use as your daily driver?

Max dpi is less a gimmick and is more used to demonstrate advancements in optical sensor quality over time. The way I aim thumb rests get in the way. Since I have big hands I use my thumb and pinky to steady my shots in FPS games that require a constant pull down for recoil control like Rust. I used to play MMOs quite a bit and never liked how MMO mice feel.

I don't like the Scimitar but I love using the extra keys on my Naga Epic for buys and grenades in counter strike

If I had found out it comes in all black I may have considered it. I ended up getting a Logitech G600 on Ebay, hot damn it's so configurable via the software! And it's more ergonomic than the 1st gen Razer Naga it replaced, nearly as comfortable as my Mionix Naos 3200!

is it me or can you use those buttons in games like Quake Champions that are all about speed to switch weapons really quick on the mouse?

i bouth it, and its nuts! very comfortable and nice looking. i also play a lot fps, like bf4, rb6siege and its also nice for it! its not that small like my old g400 from logitech but with my midd to big sice hand, i can handle it. so if you like to play mmos like me, and also FPS, its a nice mouse.

The only weak points I found were: 1) the middle mouse button is too stiff to depress without causing the mouse to move. Fortunately, you can assign that to one of the buttons. 2) Unless you have a double-jointed thumb, accessing the 1-6 buttons near the front of the mouse will prove difficult. It would have been better if the key caps were greater in height the nearer the row was to the front of the mouse, forming a slight concave curvature. Other than that, it's a pretty damn good mouse.

I am not a moba gamer myself, so I cannot remark on the side buttons. However, you can also see this in the razer naga and logitech g600 (only ones I know off the top of my head) so clearly this is what most moba players want. The design of the mouse is really nice, and I like that they chose to have either the yellow or keep it black - nice job corsair. The keyslide feature looks really, really nice. I have the g602, originally chose because I was an idiot who didn't know what anything the gaming sphere was (the g602 is a very good mouse, wrong genre for me) and the side buttons are somewhat hard for me to reach, which leads me to believe that the moveable keypad is a nice edition. Per usually, corsair does a good job with the RGB - say what you will about their other products or other aspects of their products, they do truly offer some amazing RGB lighting. Finally, that sensor is really, really fucking nice. It seems somewhat overkill considering it's in a moba mouse, but for whenever you load up fps games I can tell it would come in handy. Nice job corsair.

Naga has 17 including the mouse wheel since it can be used as one. They have been out for at least 7 years.
