HI // LOW - Milspec Leather Key Tag Production (EDC)
In our hi/low videos, we show you different ways to make a product that can be budget friendly, or super high end. Key tags and Jet tags are newer but popular additions to the EDC style accessory zeitgeist, and they make great projects or white label jobs. Here's how we make both fancy and simple forms of the same product, and how you can to

@@BonnieJeanTlqThis wouldn’t be unusual as a gift for a business to larger clients. Especially if it goes with the marketing of hand made so going the extra mile, quality being important, etc.

I love using the triangle slides for purse cross body strap attachment points! They are way better looking then d rings, super strong, and the triangle point holds the cross body strap clasp nicely!

In the Air Force, they were used on systems that were "locked", and had to be freed before flight, or safeties on ordinance that had to be removed so you weren't dropping "duds"... big and red and marked in large print "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT"...

I am completely new to leatherworking but I have dreamed of getting into it for years. I am gearing up to buy an initial set of tools and leather, really excited to see if this is the creative outlet that works for me

When doing a strap on a buckle haft, I thought you should always avoid stitching parallel to the haft since it can prematurely fail, since it’s similar to perforated notebook paper. I get the watchband like construction but couldn’t there be some other approach than building in a failure point?

you can put them on the clip side if you don't plan on hanging them on anything or use a split ring.

You must not do leather work such as these .. I do.. $130 for all the materials he has shown . Including the space to do it and the time.. It’s not a small Little whatever item or key holder .. His craft is his business.. sorry but comments like this take away from those of us out here trying our best to follow our passion. Like maccers .. MacDonald isn’t a burger shop really. It’s prime realestate making booty all over the world. Shoe laces .. what’s the cost , is it worth ? Yes , saves tripping over . When things are hand made and no mass produced. It’s so much more personal. Follow your passion it it’s making you shine.. Know your worth and never lower it. Allow others to step up … then show them the view..🌺👍🏼👌🏼🥂

@@nireeburr”all the materials”? It’s like $7 in materials if that. Takes half an hour at most to do using his method. Looks sloppy and half-assed. He used velodon down the center, but not on the turnbacks where it’s actually important. Couldn’t even bother to use a higher SPI or make a better/smoother transition with he liner. He used globs of tokonole and still didn’t bother to get a good burnish. For $130 on a little keychain like that, those edges better be mirror burnished or painted smooth, the SPI better be high, stitches better be consistent and angled on both sides, there better not be any ugly burned globs of thread, there better be a smooth transition of the liner with no bumps, etc. He’s lazy and his work is sloppy for the price.

Love your videos and crafts, but $125 for that is robbery. 5$ for hardware and leather offcut, 30-40 minutes of work (it does not take 2h come on). 50$ is fair considering there is some hand stitching, but more than double that? Just because you can, does not mean you should.

That second “high end” version was sloppy and amateurish…. I’d expect more from someone that’s been doing this “professionally” for 15+ years with that price point.
