Great progress there Adam, Yeah i don't blame you one bit for building the driver side your self. By the time that floor pan arrives, you could have made one your self. Plus the 200 odd quid can go towards something else, that the car needs, or what you need. Also with the Bus fare you have gained doing this side, you know what your dealing with, and plus its a reference as i mentioned when you did the inner wings. As for for people wanting to have a pop at you for doing metal work, rather than buying, it works out cheaper, easier and quicker. Plus replacement panels you have to faff on with too, Keep pushing, and i recon with in a two months, i can see this having a solid floor inside. From what i remember the boot floor is spot on. So you are not that far off having a solid car really, once the driver side is complete.

If it was me I’d get a grinding disc to get it near and then use the flap disc to finish off you will find they last a lot longer I only use the cheap ones and dear ones don’t last that much longer if I’m honest , dewalt 125mm x1mm cutting discs from screw fix are best

Your doing a great job with the equipment you have looking good can send you a roll of wire I've got some spare and a few cutting disks wat size wire you useing ive got tips as well if i can find you address to send my disks 125mm size i will send them the weekend all as is a shout out how much for a floor pan and months wait for it i would build it myself as well mate
