He spoke at my college graduation this May and did a great job. He will continue to make a great name for himself in politics. Good job, Mr. Booker.

Loved him as Mayor of Newark and love him now. Cant wait for him to be POTUS. One of the few politicians I would vote FOR, instead of voting against their opponent

I like what Booker did there. Instead of getting up there and endorsing Hillary like a "good boy" (ugh), he seizes the moment to put HIMSELF out there in preparation for 2020! Well done, brother. Well done. :-)

The speech was based off love and compassion yet the low common denominator of trump supports took their time to stop workin on their Chevy to watch and write negative comments. Congrats your life is sad

I think I just watched America's next black president. Got the same feeling when I first saw President Obama on the Oprah show long before even announced his run for president and thought, 'This guy is going to go far.' I just didn't know then where and how far he would go, but it happened. Will just have to wait and see. But on pure speculation now, it would be interesting to see him and a Michelle Obama ticket (if the lady would only just decide to throw her hat into the ring). Isn't it great we live in countries (you all in the US, I in Canada) where we're free to think as we choose and create possible political scenarios and posting them in a public forum without some dictator feeling threatened and considering us dissidents and throwing our butts into jail? Our respective counties may not be perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but we have much to be thankful for. And I just wish people would remember that...

4:50 he says that you can't love your country if you don't love your countrymen. you see this is how the democrats play on your compassion. I say that country is first. he uses the word love to throw you off. you love your family members, how can you love complete strangers. you don't know their heart and mind. I say try and be courteous to people, not respecting people, but courteous to them because respect is earned. I don't respect people, but I'm not going to disrespect them either. I respect the rule of law. respect is earned. these are the simple but effective tricks that the democrats use on the public especially white folks.

Though some of Marx's ideas failed he was, nevertheless, one of the great thinkers in history. All contemporary political structures have been influenced by his ideas in one way or another, including democracy.
@S955US848 жыл бұрын
Pierre00 Democracy pre-dates Marx by more than 2500 years. You say some of his ideas failed, which ones would they be? Which ones succeeded? And tell us please all the countries that are thriving under Marxist forms of government today.
@pierre00958 жыл бұрын
There was no mention of Marx having created democracy - I said 'influenced', democracy is an ever evolving continuum. As far as your "quiz", within the limitations of a KZfaq comment section, I can state the obvious failure of communism a social ideal. Even the best of capitalist endeavors have had to make room for, at least partial, socialist actions. Voting and having a voice in a democratic system is a socialist act, however, many Americans can not separate, or distinguish, socialism from communism and as result "socialism" is seen as a dirty word. As far as "all the countries", my original comment about Marx's ideas were not as a necessary political assertion for governing, I was saying his ideas opened world wide political discourse that continues to this day.
