Best bromance of any century ever

Man, I gotta admit that these two relationship has more depth than Cory and Topanga's relationship. Their friendship/relationship was more complex and deep than Cory and Topanga's. In fact, Topanga, herself, even admitted to her mother that Shawn loves Cory more than she does, and Cory often mentions Shawn even when he's around Topanga, also whenever Cory have his happiness with Topanga, he always want Shawn to have the same happiness as he does to the point that at the second to last episode of the last season when Angela's dad came to pick his daughter up to move with him, and at that same moment, Topanga was busy going to New York for her offered internship interview, Cory didn't even realized what was going on because he was so focused and busy with Shawn and Angela's relationship, he didn't even payed attention to Topanga, his wife's situation, until he realized was already after Angela left haha That shows that Cory cared and worried more about his best friend, Shawn's situations and problems than his own and sometimes Topanga's problems. It tells a lot about Cory and Shawn's relationship

You know what, I see these two are more like brothers than their own blood brothers. I mean, look, one person has grown so apart with his brother when they were actually really close with each other when they were younger (Cory and Eric), while the other had always wanted a brother and been sending letters to his brother when he was 10 but never got it back, then when they actually found each other, they tried to get close with each other but realized they hardly have anything in common with one another, so they estranged themselves from each other though they still talk with each other when others are around. Cory and Shawn does everything together, they always stick together more than their brothers sticking with them. So that's why I see these two are more like brothers than their own brothers.

The fact that the show aired in the 90s makes it even more special. You didn’t see these kind of male friendships on television. You didn’t see these examples of non-toxic masculinity in TV at this time. Most “bromances” at that time had an element of gay panic in them (Joey and Chandler for example). Cory and Shawn were unabashedly affectionate, emotionally open, and communicated in a healthy way. Honestly, they remain a shining example of what a friendship should be. The show in general was way ahead of its time with that kind of stuff across the board. It’s aged very well when compared to most other shows that came out during that era. It’s even more impressive that it was a kids’ show. Yet it was never overly preachy, it’s genuinely funny, it dealt with real stuff that’s still significant today, and it still has very high rewatch value. It’s a modern classic. And one of my favorite shows ever made.

I'm a mess right now hahaha, this was everything I could ever have dreamed of and more, I really can't explain how much I love it. Hun, you're a genius, your editing is stunning, like actually just mindblowingly stunning, epic, beautiful, perfect, there aren't enough words, the scene choices were perfection. You've made me fall in love with these two all over again!!!!! And the voiceovers killed me. Everything about this has killed me. SO MANY FEELINGS. I love these two probably too much if that's even a thing haha. Have I mentioned the parallels yet?! I feel like I must have, but I don't even know hahahaha but it's so good. Sorry i'm continuously re-watching this whilst writing this haha, it's all the quotes, they're killing me. And oh my god the editing on the dancing bit was SO freaking good. I remembered seeing the episode when his little brother was in the hospital, nobody being sure if he would be alright or not and Cory worrying about it. Topanga didn't know what to do nor how to comfort him with this and at the right moment, Shawn came back and it's like he just knew how to comfort him, what to say and be there for him. I love that scene. It shows that even when shit happens, Shawn always knows what to say to Cory and same other way around. Their friendship is unbreakable.
