I missed my dear city!! It was one of the best places I ever lived when I was little!!! We left Sarasota, Florida, back in 1992!!! I am now in Michigan!!!

@@Jnh-jo1ln You can always move to a different part of florida or 30mins inland. normally it's a little cheaper to move away from the beach areas.

I’m so sad that the market is so crazy there. My husband has Parkinson’s and we really wanting to move to the area to use the Parkinson’s Place there. Looking out of reach now.

I’ve been watching Your videos great content your really convincing me to consider lol currently in Palm beach county Boca and quite frankly Sarasota seems more down to earth not so boojie or snobby as they say .

If you’ve made the mistake of buying a home with an HOA you are paying way more than LA, NYC or Boston markets.

I’m a born and raised Floridan and the housing market has gotten so bad that I’ve been homeless this entire senior year in highschool. I had to couch surf to get by. I feel like Florida only works if you have the extra money to spend on average day to day things. My parents make an average amount but still can barely afford groceries and car insurance, led alone a house. People from all over the country are also moving in by the thousands ramping up costs in general. Luckily I can live on campus in at a college in Sarasota but I think I want to leave as it’s hard to get ahead in life in Florida unless you have the money to do so.

Is hurricane insurance required in Sarasota? Is it separate from homeowner insurance?

Hurricane is part of standard policy and it is wind. That does not cover flooding which is a different policy.

You can thank greedy investors and house flippers. Nothing decent under $450,000 in Sarasota now if you can even find one to buy without all cash.

Florida has lowest wages for over a decade and now with rents 2000 up, gas food you won't survive.

Way overpriced now and its only going to get worse , if you still have to work florida pay is very low due to being a right to work(no unions allowed).

You know, it used to be called something else...back when parents taught their children what it meant to be decent human beings...a lesson you Deplorables obviously lost along with your moral compasses. It was called manners back then. And being "woke" is better than the alternative, which is dumb and asleep to facts, data, and truth. The "Right" has turned stupid, data denying into a science. They are so afraid of their government turning "socialist" that they don't bother learning their own constitution (90 percent couldn't give you an actual definition of socialism anyway). They are "Christian Nationalists" who know nothing about being Christian. They are "constitutionalists" but are only concerned with one part of the Bill of Rights (#2), while trampling the others. And incidentally, are you saying that inflation ISN'T a global issue? Aside from inflation, most US economic indicators are good, in spite of your refusal to pay attention to the data or economists.
