Cost Of Living In Spain: Have a look at Barcelona supermarket prices in this supermarket named Alcampo. I compare food costs in Spain with the US. This Spanish supermarket also sells clothes, hardware, kitchenware, refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, TVs, laptops, cell phones and automotive parts. I show the prices on a variety of items from jamón, wine, beer, cheese and olive oil, to paint, TVs, and cell phones.

I'm moving to spain soon so I love watching these kind of videos to get an idea of the food markets and prices, this was one of the better videos ive seen, so much info, examples and prices, thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you Luna. The quality, selection and prices in Spain are excellent. If you are moving from the US be aware that you have to file taxes in two countries.

Your English is fine. I really liked that neighborhood. It is quiet and not a lot of tourists but still close to the city center.

The milk thing we do here in Ireland also but fresh milk is more popular It’s UHT treated. You store it in the press and don’t need to refrigerate it until you open it

Actually, here in US, there are lots of refrigerators now with freezer at the bottom.

I didn't think it was strange except for all the kinds of milk. I think Spanish supermarkets have overall the best combination of quality, variety and low price I have seen in any country I have visited.

Eggs are not refrigerated because they are fresh

I thought our eggs in the US were fresh, but they refrigerate them. 😂

@@ToGoIsToKnow The law in Spain prohibits establishments from having refrigerated eggs, so that they cannot “disguise” as fresh eggs that are no longer eggs. But once at home it is better to put them in the fridge, they need to be in a cool, dry place with a constant temperature so as not to spoil and this is offered by refrigerators or a fresh pantry.
