My budget last month in the south of Thailand was $400. $70 for electricity to run the AC 20 hours a day, No rent, $12 for internet, 60 cents for my flip phone, $2 for water, $80 fuel for car. $10 for car insurance. That's $175 without food. I eat out a lot and buy some foods for relatives. If I didn't eat restaurant food, it would be easy for me to live on $300 a month. I live on a paved road in rural Mai Seab/ Koh Khan. 1 mile to 7-11 and the freeway. 5 miles to KFC or hospital. 20 miles to Phattalung. My house is paid for.

I went to Pattaya and stayed 42 days, during this time i've writen down Every expense so now i am comparing what you are saying to my statistics. We spend the same amount for food. my accomodation was 11300 for a month (electricity and water included). boom booms took 48% of my total budget spent while in pattaya (which does not include plane ticket i bought before coming, of course) averaging at 33200 baht per month spent on boom boom :)

Thanks for the video. Last year, I lived in the Jomtien area for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week without buying any LDs and barfines. I did not eat any western food due way more expensive and been eating Thai food in the market. In my early 50's now, I was planning to retire but I changed my mind in the very last second and back to work again in CA, started from scratch. Will do this again, next year.

Great presentation & energy. You look like a west coast Bruce Leroy from The Last Dragon my boy. I think that CM may be a little too slow for me & too far from the beach, but I plan to check it out. How is the car leasing situation out there? I'd want my own car. You're in my prayers bro, good luck & God Bless!

thanks bro! that movie looks hard imma have to watch it lol. leasing should be pretty straightforward, typically just have an international drivers license and passport. some companies may want long term visa or thai drivers license. much love and God bless fam

Surprised by your food costs, they seem quite high to me. You should go to the local markets and avoid chain stores for better prices. Buy direct from the farmers.
