Can we glue vinyl floor on to the door instead of mass loaded vinyl? This would give the door a nice look, too.

Can you please do a video on how to soundproof air vents?!!! I saw a video on how to make a sound maze for return air vents...but I need something that fits in small air vents... I was thinking of making the sound maze smaller like a mini one out of cardboard and acoustic foam or use the same materials plywood and foam with smaller measurements... But not sure if that's feasible for small vents... Any other suggestions? Please advise!

Just bought a door panel from Vocal Booth to go for my 32” wide door for $200 bucks plus shipping and tax. I will test it out and hopefully make a video out of it. I play saxophone in an upstairs apartment. Although my roommate is a family member, I just want to minimize the sound when I practice throughout the day.

What about potentially filling a hollow door with open-cell spray-in foam insulation? I read that open-cell spray foam is much better at reducing sound than closed-cell. The only thing is I imagine it might be difficult to get the foam to fill the entire door. I've never actually worked with it, so I'm not sure.

I've wanted to make a sort of soundproof booth that I can easily tear down and assemble if I need to move from one place to another. I was originally planning to just make the booth out of quietrock walls that fit/slide into a wooden grooved base floor. Not sure how I would handle the "ceiling" though. Do you have any knowledge you can impart for an idea like this?

You could just use some quiet rock on the ceiling as well. All depends how high the ceiling is to determine the best course of action.

@@soundproofguide it'll probably just be high enough so that if I stand up from the desk I won't bump my head. Wouldn't want there to be a ceiling fan accident. Other than that, I was actually wondering if this project idea would fly in general (not just a question about the ceiling), in your opinion. I'm hoping that absolutely no sound escapes, but since it is mostly only drywall and wood I'm not sure how effective it would be.
