I really enjoy the cosy chats. If it wasn't for your health journey I wouldn't have known about the Ehlers-Danlos condition. I've been re-listening to your older videos about it and it's, in a way, comforting. I didn't think it could apply to me when you first talked about it, but now I know it's multi-varied. I've got some of the symptoms, but not all, and was sent to a physio about 4 years ago, when I wasn't that bad yet. The physio was stumped and just told me to SLOUCH to prevent my occasional intense back muscle pain!! A few weeks ago, I was leaning over my laptop, 'slouching'?? and some back muscles suddenly went twang, I struggled to stand up, and took several days to go back to normal. My GP surgery only does same-day appointments now, with over 15,000 patients there, and even phone consults have to be booked on the same day, if there's any left when you get through. I've just been trying to cope without seeing anyone, and have had an unbearably painful upper arm muscle/tendon tear, which has healed now, but it left me with a shoulder impingement, so far for 6 months. All my joints feel loose and clicky/snappy....I'm getting better help and advice online than I got at the physio, but I know I have to see someone, and hearing others' stories gives me a bit more confidence. Sorry for long message, but I find you so relate-able and wanted to tell you how much I've got out of your past vids. I don't use instagram much, so I miss your chats. I should put my phone on wifi more often! x

Ahh such a shame. Do try and come to instagram if you can. Would love to stay in touch. I'm not pleased you're dealing with this pain and body issues but I am pleased the videos helped in some small way. It can feel very lonely and isolating when you don't know what's going on and no one can seem to help you (because they can fit in an appointment or don't know about these complex illnesses). I suspect so many people have EDS and hyper mobile spectrum disorders that are no diagnosed or misdiagnosed. I was dismissed initially just because I didn't have the stretchy skin...I hope soon so called experts will realise that it comes in many different forms and its very much about joining the dots of medical history and all the commodities.

I follow you and others who have health conditions I relate to this community because I'm part of it and you are also interesting because of your creative side in making and art work. I think the content you produce and your lifestyle is helpful because you deal with fluctuating symptoms so it's a balancing act and I'm always looking to see how others do that because I don't get it right. I'm also making an effort to follow those who don't promote consuming as their main theme in life! If you get a siamese and it is like nimbus I would suggest a companion for them, it's a lot easier to leave them then because they have each other. One of ours does go out too he doesn't go far but won't go out when it's cold but when he goes out even just for 30 it makes a huge difference. Another cat also means they can play with eachother. We've had 'normal' moggies before but they were not sociable, didn't talk, wouldn't sit on your knee, friendly but way more independent. The other thing we did with siamese is try to walk them on a lead, because they are indoor rescues this wasa bit tricky they didn't want to leave the garden because it's scary. Anyway I'm blabbing on now. I hope cardiology can figure stuff out with the pots, I have my appointment this month, I'm pretty sure I have mast cell reaction disorder, of that's what it's called x

I was thinking that too, about getting two so they have company to snuggle and play with if I ever do have to pop out, because I know they like a lot of stimulation and do prefer it when you're around and being interactive with them. My family cat was a moggy and I loved her, but yes very different to Nimbus, so much more independent and only snuggled on her terms and fairly infrequently - although it did feel special when she did it. Re - the balancing act thing - I'm definitely so much better at saying NO to those things that I used to do because it as good for 'exposure' or was a career 'investment'. If I am going to use my energy for work I need to have some sort of financial reward otherwise it's essentially making me ill and making me lose money, which doesn't make sense at all. I'm not sure I'll every had balance perfect though. If I have a day where i feel Ok I end up exhausting myself by trying to get all the chores down or all the diy jobs just in case I feel crap tomorrow. Its difficult isn't it?

I really really loved this vibe Sophie, perhaps you could do one a month even if you felt up to it. I've always loved the channel and honestly could listen to you for hours talking about anything 😊 All is good with me, well except for taking months to decide we would sell our apartment move to Northern Ireland from the South only to realise it was a silly error and then move back but other than that all is good 😉. Seriously I hope you will pop in to youtube now and againxx ps I'm totally loving the cactus art behind you, it is really pretty x

I love the cosy comfortable vibe in this video it’s nice to just hear you sit and have a conversation with the camera. Hi Eve, So sorry you and your mum are dealing with so much. It sometimes feels like everything comes all at once. I hope you are being as kind and gentle to yourself (and each other) as you can. Houses can be so very expensive when things starts to go wrong and you have to do what's best given your situation. As long as you have warmth and shelter that's the most important thing. But i hope the upheaval of it all isn't too stressful and you can settle into a comfortable situation as soon as possible xx

Hi, just catching up. I must admit that I am rarely on KZfaq now as I spend the time I used to spend on KZfaq on Instagram. I’ve enjoyed this catch up, they are my favourite videos from you. I love your home account on insta as you seem so relaxed and happy there, you seem happier generally since getting the flat and that’s lovely to see. Erin is so lucky to have a friend like you, it’s very rare to find. Do you still feel you have CFS or do you now think that was a misdiagnosis? For work follow your heart xx
@SophieEggleton
@SophieEggleton 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kelly. I'm the same. With instagram juggle two pages and there being so much to watch on netflix, Amazon, now tv etc there's just no time leftover for KZfaq. I'm already box sets behind on things I really want to watch! I think they aren't ahead enough on research to know in regards to ME - whether many people are getting misdiagnosed or whether lots of people who have EDS also have M.E. I think a lot of the symptoms crossover. And till they know whether ME stems only from virus or whether there's genetic issues too I guess we will never know for sure!

hi Sophie. I loved your Instagram updates (especially on your house account) but it seems like I've been blocked :( I might have liked most of your posts in one go, lol... would you mind checking if I it could be undone? I promise I'm not a spammer :) my login is the same there.

@@SophieEggleton it's really weird, because I cannot find you either. You just suddenly dissapeared, both of your accounts did! At first I thought you deleted your Instagram account, but I can see it when I'm not logged in, so I thought you must have blocked me! No clue what's happened, I guess I need a new account. Nevermind. Regarding the question from your vlog, I have been watching you for a few years now and I have never left a comment before, I guess it's high time I spoke :) I found your channel accidentally while searching for some info regarding one of the chronic illnesses and I stayed. It's just so nice to listen to you! I liked your KZfaq videos, but I understand that it takes a lot of your time and it doesn't pay, so if you decide to stop posting here I will switch to whatever platform you prefer. :)
