Talking the good and the bad of my personal experience of lockdown/covid. How it’s impacted my family the last few days. What I’ve been feeling. What I’ve been watching. What I’ve been doing. Wondering how you’re all doing?! Let’s chat in the comments

I can relate to much of what you are saying. I appreciate your honesty that really gets to the essence of what I feel. You have a way of doing that. I have ME and I guess I needed permission to relax. This isolation has been my life for a long time and I am finally enjoying it because many obligations are not weighing on me. I live in New Jersey, USA where there are so many cases and my prayer is that this allows us all to fully grasp what is truly important in life. We are not such big shots when we are brought to our knees by a tiny virus and we need to recognize that there are many forces beyond our awareness. It feels like a wake up call. So I am trying to use the opportunity to grow spiritually and emotionally.

I completely agree. I genuinely think this is or should be a wake up call. What we put emphasis on. The fact that nature can recover a lot of we give it a chance. The fact there’s so much beauty in the simple things in life. How we don’t actually need all the bells and whistles to be happy. How so many people were living at an unsustainable pace. I think for lots of us isolation isn’t far different from the norm and it’s been frustrating to some extent that only now people are suddenly creating ways to make being at home easier ( ableism). But in the long run it’ll be good and hopefully people will have a better understanding of those largely housebound x thinking of you

It was lovely to sit and watch this Sophie. I'm personally all over the place with this whole virus and lock down. I mean I'm a very quiet introvert person, one who is happiest when with my partner and my son, I often say if it was just the 3 of us in the world then I'd honestly be happy, I mean that, so this whole been together has been lovely BUT just prior to this whole thing we had paid deposit on our new little place and I was planning after 2 years been at home with our son on returning to work and I really felt that was needed for me and I was so excited and now here we are and I think I'm getting a bit on edge with it all, I'm starting to get a bit grumpy and feeling a bit sad in general, our new place is sat there and we are stuck here paying rent for a place we detest and I'm getting bloody bored, add to that I had finally got my health to a good place prior to this, swimming every day and the gym... now I'm eating EVERYTHING in sight ... So yeah I'm all over the place as is everyone I guess, I'm telling myself each day that people have lost their loved ones and are suffering immensely and in comparison I'm totally selfish to complain so yes that gets me by... phew sorry that was drawn out, it's been another long day.. I'm glad you are OK and it was great to see you 😊😊😊

that's crap I'm sorry ♥ it's not selfish to complain about things that are important to you, doesn't mean it's disrespectful to those who are suffering from the virus, your bad feelings are just as valid ♥ stay strong x

@@ChloeContagiousx and you too, thank you, at times I feel my complaints are trivial in comparison. Let's hope it all ends soon xx

Don’t ever think you don’t have a right to feel sad, need to vent, be disappointed. There’s nuance. You can be grumpy and upset with your situation but still understand that there’s other awful stuff going on for others. Your feelings are valid and natural and it’s important your process them rather than try to stifle them. If you think about it you’re going through grief of some kind. Your mourning what you thought your life would look like right now. We mentally gear up for these big changes so it can be gutting when they’re delayed and your mind has to adjust to the new situation. I guess all you can do is think that it’ll be triple exciting when you finally manage to make the move and appreciate it more than ever. And on the health stuff that’s really tough when you’ve worked so hard and made progress but also be kind to yourself and know that it’s totally normal to snack more, put on weight etc during a time like this. Perhaps it’s helping us cope which is no bad thing . And it only has to be temporary. You’ve done it before so you know you can get back to being fitter again. You got this!! Sending lots of love xxx

Ah that’s good! Doing those jobs you never usually find time to do. Can feel pretty satisfying. I think it’ll be interesting to see what a non festival summer will be like. No fomo for the ones we aren’t at because we can’t afford it or make it at because no one is. Be interesting to see how we find different ways to enjoy the sunny months. And then when they’re all back we will appreciate it more! X
