Copper absorbs heat like crazy. Its thermal conductivity is really high. I hope that’s why they used it, not to “refelct” heat. Cute wood stove! I bet that’s really cozy!

I personally wouldn't use copper sheet Aluminium is a better heatshield (in my opinion) due to its ability to disperse heat evenly over the metal I have a double wall hearth in my caravan, tiles and cement sheeting then a 1.5cm airgap and then aluminium checkerplate with 4inches between the conbustible material

Dull copper absorbs and re-radiates heat, it does not reflect heat

lol, cubic minis fit a decent amount of wood but definitely do take some work to cut the wood to size
