I own it and have added a bit more. I believe in the industry, and they are the best-in-class. 10 years from now the current weakness will be a blip. I'm still skeptical in the short term. If interest rates don't go down or we hit a hard recession, things won't get better soon. However, like you mentioned, this will easily pop 20% in a heartbeat on positive news, so I find it too risky to wait.

Ignore the naysayers. This is another opportunity to accumulate. I bought a bit more at $102 on Thursday and now it’s down even further. As long as interest rates remain so high I don’t see much hope for the stock but that’s when you need to buy.

As a former owner of enphase, I deeply dislike this business. If a company depends on low interest rates to succeed, and your bull thesis for the company is interest rates lowering, avoid it. Enphase management has categorically failed to exist in all environments, and poor execution should be punished. There are way better stocks to play for lowering interest rates that don't depend on it.

Not low interest rates but normal one. Just like plenty of other industries (car, housing, etc..)

@@CouchInvestor Housing and Car companies are generally poor investments, the only exception is the extremely well managed businesses that can succeed in any environment or perhaps Tesla, which has significant non-car opportunities. That's my problem with enphase, they failed the management test.

@@CouchInvestor Agree. But, very strong but, if you read their projections Nike stock will be dead for at least 6-12mo. Retail investors should wait to see improvements in earnings, new store sales agreements, and new merchandise.

@@CouchInvestor Agreed, i don’t think struggles will be long term. Other running shoe brands like Hoka, Asics, New Balance have taken some market share. But we’ve seen this in the past with ex: Under Armour and Adidas. Nike will always be the superior athletic brand. All the big athletes in the NBA/NHL/NFL etc are sponsored by Nike!

@@CouchInvestor just the price is over 100 so I like to pay a little to own a lot like we were discussing with Rivian for example or uipath now in that price range.

As somebody who is very long in this stock... something to consider before investing in this company. There are significant problems forming over in Europe due to major changes in the political landscape. Major shift towards right wing politics is not favorable for renewable energy in Europe. You could really see demand for resi solar plummet due to the snap elections and policy changes thereafter. Here in the US, I do not see Trump (if he wins) as a threat. IRA is very hard to repeal, and the adder tax credits/45x credits are good boosts to manufacturing jobs in conservative states like Texas. Europe is the problem, not the US... especially since Enphase is trying to expand aggressively in Europe.

Don't forget that at the end of the day, even those on the far right will recognize that solar is a way to reduce cost of living in the long run. Of course, EU (i'm from there) is filled with clown politicians

@@CouchInvestor Yes. Like the Parliament in the Netherlands... which is another headwind. Nobody has a clue what is going on with Net Metering there... not even Badri. The Dutch solar market is a huge blow for Enphase when demand is low for extended periods of time... like now.

@@CouchInvestor Yes it is. And what it sees I believe is no major $ outlays for new solar operations in the near term. As a retail investor, why lead and wait and sit on dead money while other areas advance?

@@watch171I would disagree. I'm not saying enphase is the one but if there's a stock that is going to break out 2-3 years from now( 75-100% maybe more) then you would take 2 years of being able to accumulate as a retail investor. As a retail investor time is your friend.
