I guess that Pictureboard, She Couldn't and Could Have Been, together, are a sincere way to show the beautiful melancholy about failure in a romantic relationship; even if you hadn't been in a situation like that, you can truly feel that things, they get into you deeply; there's a great combination of music and lyrics in those three.

I can’t even listen to it, because even though it never been revealed to us before till its recent release, it still brings a lot of memories for some reason. Even just hearing Chesters voice one more time and Mikes rhymes is just too much to take. I’m still trying to get over chesters death. For those who grew up listening to the band will likely understand what I mean. They were my hideout, like a shelter in times I felt most vulnerable and every time I’ve played there songs, it was as the lyrics matched the circumstances that I was going through at that time. It was like as if their lyrics spoke my mind! Crazy! There is no other band that I got emotionally attached to as much as I got myself attached to linkin park. This is incredibly hard to hear.

@ohio guy i can't believe you said that man! I still miss his voice so much, the Loss felt so personal, i think the same sentiment echoes across a lot of linkin park fans as well. Everytime i listen to any unreleased demo I can't kept help but wish If we could back and help him deal with his demons and support him There is a deep sense of guilt that a lot of fans feel that they could have supported him when one more light came out at such a difficult time when he was dealing with the loss of Chris Cornell

I've never cared about any celeb death, but Chester was and is really hard to deal with, especially since he took his own life!
@stephenikonnikov5126
@stephenikonnikov5126 3 жыл бұрын
@ohio guy it’s not about knowing person on a personal level or in any other way for that matter. I know that people tend to miss other people only when they are already gone and when nothing can be done to change the course of event, that we could have influenced in the different way or somehow interfere with the outcome while those people were still present in our life, but it’s not what I was really talking about. It’s totally different. I can’t keep on explaining why I feel the way I feel, because I don’t really know the answer to it myself, it’s just there and there is nothing that I can do about it! What ever happened just some how got to me and there is nothing to get over it. It was said by me that it simply feels weird to hear linkin park now knowing that Chester isn’t here to perform or to do another song. I said that their lyrics and songs helped me to feel better and the sense that I was getting from the words of their lyrics helped me to overcome a lot of problems back in my school days, when I was younger then I’m right now.Their music was especially helpful with overcoming long term depression that I was going through at some point and every one who ever listened linkin park I’m sure found something that made them ease the pain inside the body that has no name or meaning but it’s there deep inside. Someone said here before that everyone feels different about the death of Chester and it’s true. Everyone knew Chester in their own way. Chester was to everyone what everyone needed him to be. I’m not justifying anybody here, specially myself. I’m not trying to make this about me or anybody else out here, I’m just sharing my personal thoughts of how linkin park influenced me over the years and that it’s not the same now to hear their songs knowing that Chester Isn’t here no more. I didn’t need to know the guy to say that it is sad what happened. I just heard Chesters voice in my head since I was kid and his voice and music just stuck with me and it grew with me all those years in my head while I was getting older. It became personal, it helped me to know that someone else went through same problems and situations that I was going through at the time and it made me feel that I was not alone, that some one else out there understands and knows exactly how it feels and how I felt, That’s why linkin park is that good and this is why they managed to reach such level of success because their song are real and not made on some sort of phantasy by someone who had no understanding of what the life was actually about.

What can I do when you turn away  except close the door, Figure out how I'm gonna try again Play it through to be with you but alone again is how it's gonna end (Then... go...) And I can't see you as a friend so now I know how this has got to end Make it so nobody wins, Ending this before it begins (Go... go...) Making my moves so carefully, I feel it when you stare at me (Alone again...) Making my moves so carefully, I feel it when you stare at me (You go away...) Because they're LP from the late 90's/early 00's? This was their prime, after Meteora they started to drift in sound and everything essentially which makes sense but no modern day music can ever catch up to those times.

A couple of the demos really stick in my mind as some of the most somber LP songs. Some of my favorite songs from them used to be (and mostly still are) the ones that got my blood pumping, but songs like this, She Couldn't, and Pictureboard feel like the emotional catharsis of shedding tears.
