Did he not fucking play in the same era as Kobe for 13 fucking years? edit: thanks for the likes, but to those who have replied emphasising jordan, kobe only played 2 years in the league when jordan did (we dont count wizards), and kobe was a relative bum to his prime self then. Is 2 years an era? Jordan era starts after pistons back2back, from 1990-98, which isn't too far off so... A better way to frame the question would be to use a 3rd party godly player who was relevant in both. I choose shaq (beat jordan in 95 and carried kobe's career as #8). Now, could lebron hold his own versus end of his prime (post 3peat to ring with the flash) shaq (much better than 95 shaq), yes. Also, why cant a 6'9" 1 through 5 not play 90's ball?

Players didn't leave to join up back then either. He would have to build a team and play w the same core guys for years for the most part. I think that actually benefits Bron

Bron has been to more finals so it's hard to compare

Wouldn't that prove the point more? We see his record in NBA Finals.

LeBron got to more Finals because the Eastern Conference was an absolute joke for the vast majority of the 2010s.

@@Sildarano it doesn't prove his point because people say Jordan was 6-0 like he didn't play 15 years. Like he wasn't getting the business from Sidney moncrief and couldn't get out the first round without pippen

Lebron was a top 3 player in the 2000s which was known as the dead ball era which was extremely slow paced with defense being the focus. He would have adapted, thrived, and dominated in the 90s

I think it would tough up Lebron,but he still would be a beast and he won't cry about little fouls anymore or flop all over the place to get a foul
@rdogletree4543Ай бұрын
It would've been tough because there was no player empowerment back then and nobody was joining up with another team's superstar. When Barkley went to Phoenix they didn't have a superstar so he went there as the best player. Same for Shaq going to the Lakers, Kobe was an unknown. At best you would get an aging player hook up with a prime star toward the end of their career like Drexler did.
@ffferdinanddd3 ай бұрын
LeBron would’ve adapted just fine to the 90s, he’d be a combination of Karl Malone and John Stockton

cough cough 73-9 warriors cough cough played in one of the most phiscal eras as a young guy. imagine how hard it would be to guard a all around player who is a 6 foot 9 player. What people don't understand is when lebron was in his prime curry had the whole entire game change and still lebron dominated

Most moves they do to create the shot wouldn't be at all effective 90s because the hand checking would have a lot more turnovers
