Actually kids often more crazy and fierce, they did not fear to receive pain or to cause it, so they learn all the crazy stuff much more easier and quickly, can be crazy technical. Not a judoist, I did karate, was a a judge. The days when the youngest children competed were the hardest 😂 And kudos to this little one, it's a hardworking talent here 💪

Man that poor little girl, I know her pain. When i was a kid my mom made me and my sister learn judo at one point, and after a few months the sensei convinced my mom to enroll us in a regional tournament like this one. I lost to my first opponent almost instantly and was immediately out of the bracket. Even though i was never really passionate about judo and certainly didn't expect to win, it was extremely humiliating to be defeated so handily.

That’s an extremely valuable lesson for the little girl that lost. She charged in with reckless abandon (for a 6 year old) thinking she would dominate her opponent. She quickly learned that you can’t bulrush everything and will likely use her brain a bit more in the future. Learning a life lesson through martial arts.

Exactly the wrong message that has ruined the West. Both kids were not winners of the Jiu Jitsu match, clearly. But both kids did win an equal opportunity to benefit from the experience. This is less likely to happen in an environment that rejects merit.

Without defeat, who knows if she would have even felt the motivation to improve. In this manner this victory is hers. Your side of the coin is equal to the other.

It’s very good for children to taste defeat at a young age. It grows them to become better and stronger people when they’re older. Not only do they learn from defeat young but they learn how to accept it better when they’re older and when it really matters.

@@nbvw3 yeah, but theres 2 fats bums rolling sloppily and falling over each other in a bar. Then theres a competitor completely flipping an opponent around in mid air around her foot. There are different levels to falling and flipping around. This was higher end. Sure it’s not a Judo Flip. But this sure looked like one.

Honestly you can tell they are both good because she did try to save herself in the flip. But the lock with the legs got her. Bless em both, she will be ok. She simply learned a lesson that day. Also as everyone said very nice man for comforting her. We need encouraging adults in child sports to let them know it's ok, just learn from it. Can't win every time. 😊❤
