I'd take Purslow back in a heartbeat at Villa. Think it was a big mistake replacing him with Chris Heck. Purslow only ever did good for the club with his only blunder being the appointment of Gerrard.

So with Villa being a winner of the European cup, top 4 and part owned by an American, does that mean Villa will get ESL? Not a chance, Newcastle, no, it will be a piss poor Chelsea, Spurs, The Manx, Pool and the gunners, two of whom have never won the CL.....

It showed that the USA owners fundamentally do not understand football. They think that like the USA sports, it should be a closed league, and they can all slosh around in money with the protection from failure. Fans agreed they dont want that. The biggest mover was Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus because they know their leagues can't compete with the Premiership.

majority of original super league clubs don't have american ownership though, including the 3 you named real madrid, barca and jueventus don't have american owners lol

Bring on the super leauge, football is finished now anyway, so you may aswell have the best play the best, rather than seing dead teams like Burnley, Sheffield, Norwich etc
