The current version is lukewarm to say the least, with cardboard cutouts lacking personality and enthusiasm. Diversity and box ticking tokenism has ruined a once great institution.

Similar happened to me after many years service in the emergency services saving lives. I was cancelled after some private and non work related messages were taken completely out of context . I was lucky enough to live in Southampton for a few years and watched MlT many times: my memories are of a average chap ambling around the pitch in a shambolic fashion until he did stuff with a ball that was unreal. He was shabby until he got the ball and then it was like storm clouds parted and the light of the football creation shone through. He’s a free thinker and is happy in his own skin. I doubt it is his thing but he’d make a great podcaster/KZfaqr as he’s thoughtful, honest and himself. From what I can tell the quality podcasters and KZfaqrs with a long term following are genuine. MlT from what I have seen of him is genuine. Legend.

Clinton Morrison is excellent- insightful and loads of personality. I enjoyed Le Tissier’s contributions but time marches on. Tommo, Champagne Charlie and Le Tiss mean very little to most viewers who don’t recall them playing.
