The outcome of this engagement, a UNSC victory, would be even more likely if using their post human-covenant war ships. With the forerunner tech enabling far more accurate slip space jumps, if the fighters ever got too close, the fleet could simply make a jump to the opposite side of the death star and continue the bombardment, and if some fighters do happen to reach them, the shielding on the infinity class, Autumn class and strident class ships should hold them off for long enough.

There is a much simpler solution for the UNSC to win. Have a ship "surrender" with a NOVA bomb armed. They get pulled into a hanger bay, then goodbye Death Star. Just like Joyous Exaltation.

One thing I think you forgot about is the missiles and nukes that even the frigates have. As soon as the tie fighters have left the effective gun range of the turbo lasers, the UNSC could just nuke them. They would have to fly far apart to avoid them all being destroyed with one nuke, and 92 frigates would have no problem completely obliterating all the ties.

A cowboy, an old jedi, and a young boy and his droids were able to board and fend off storm troopers without ANY protection except stolen armor(which seems pretty useless) but masterchief boarding the death star is too far fetched???

And i also wanna give the UNSC the edge to the fact that they have experience fighting energy weapons and learned to adapt tactics relatively quickly with the covenant (that doesnt mean they didnt get their ass kicked the first decades of the war lol) what helps that is the fact they've got cortana on board so strategically i bet she would do some serious damage

One of the Halo books had an ODST mission, everyone carrying demo charges, some nuclear. It was intended as a borderline one-way sabotage, and it worked. Very few survivors, but the charges carried by the now-fallen Helljumpers were in adequate positions to cause quite a bit of damage. An ODST raid following that template might be a good choice. Have all the charges synchronized, and try to plant them & escape. Plausible worst case? Unit wiped out fighting their way through, and the charges go.

Something I think you may have left out is also the difference in AI. Well the Star wars universe does have droids the shipboard AI'S or in this case the death Star AI never really seem to be that competent. Several Cortana class AIS would be able to infiltrate together whatever intel was needed or just blow the thing up internally.

The Deathstar might survive a few more hits than you'd expect due to the angle of the mac shots hitting it and armor angling, but then again considering how greebled the surface of the Deathstar actually is those shots could deflect right back into another part of the Deathstar.

While 25k stormtroopers sounds like a LOT, you have to realize how big the death star is. If you only stationed them on the surface, that would be less than one stormtrooper per square kilometer. That would make ingress of a boarding operation trivially easy. If you consider volume, that would be one stormtrooper having to guard more than 25 cubic kilometers. This makes it obvious that only the most vital parts would be guarded by stormtroopers. And so a boarding operation could quite easily gain local force superiority and inflict major damage.

Is everyone forgetting what they did in Reach with their improvised slip space bomb? If a small X-Wing could get close all the UNSC need is one suicidal recruit to teleport the Death Star into oblivion.

I easily see a team of Spartans led by Master Chief being successful in boarding the Death Star. They would be able to target a wide variety of structures and unless the Empire manages to miraculously stop them, they could do some very successful sabotage.

One other point the UNSC has is that they have Shiva nukes. Between mac blasts drilling holes in the armor and then dropping nukes inside it more then doubles their damage output. And also the tie's wouldn't be to difficult to deal with, given that they are unshielded and the UNSC has missile spam out the wazzu with the addition of point defense the ties would be running blind into hell fire. Or in combination with my other point fire a nuke into a large grouping of them and vaporize them.

Unfortunately, we know how the Imperial Navy likes to underestimate their enemies, so I think we're looking at something even more one-sided in favor of the UNSC. The UNSC has something to benefit them in the form of nearly 80 MAC blasts per minute for several minutes until the DS whittles them down or until they crack the hull of the DS, the latter option I think would be more likely. All-in-all, I estimate that the engagement ranges of the targets and the various strategies of available forces would lead to the same one-sided victory. I see no way for the Death Star alone to win in a fight with the UNSC. Timeline: 00:00:00 -UNSC forces slipspace jump into abandoned system for this fight. -Imperial Death Star drops out of hyperspace into abandoned system for the fight. 00:00:10 -UNSC forces complete their slipspace jump, both sides have roughly thirty minutes before they detect the arrival of the other. -Imperial Death Star begins passively surveying system for hostile forces. 00:05:00 -UNSC forces have taken roll call and determined of 80 available ships, 70 have arrived in relatively combat effective positions with 2 complete losses from collisions on exit from slipspace or total missing in action. The remaining 8 are entirely out of position within the system and will be combat ineffective for the battle. -Imperial Death Star continues to scan for hostile forces. One contact detected coming out of Slipspace within near range, the order is given to withhold fire, but to deploy five squadrons of TIE Fighters and two squadrons of TIE Bombers to engage the enemy vessel. 00:10:00 -UNSC AI have formulated a fleet formation and have begun to steer all UNSC vessels into a large stacked formation pushing into the heart of the system. TIE assault wing is roughly 12% of the distance needed to engage the withdrawing Frigate. 00:15:00 -UNSC AI have analyzed initial battle footage between the lone Stalwart that dropped in closer to the Death Star and have determined it acts in much of the same capacity as a Covenant Supercarrier. It is determined that it has a mass equal to a small moon or planetoid and firing computers report a target solution enabling the first salvo of MAC rounds to be fired. 72 MAC Rounds fire with 90% on-target at distance. The lone Stalwart has now emptied a second pair of Archer missile pods and continues to fire in lanes to isolate the directions in which the TIE Fighters can approach the vessel from behind as it retreats. Pelican gunships travelling behind the Frigate obtain target lock and fire double salvos of ANVIL-II missiles. Seems like the wave of hundreds to thousands of nuclear missiles would make quick work of the tie fighters if used correctly. But according to HALO rules, they crash a cruiser into the death star from behind and MC proceeds to kill every one of the occupants by hand. The engagement takes two years.

You conveniently left out the fact that that Death Star doesn't travel without an escort fleet. Kind of changes things drastically.

This is the first video I've seen of yours and I really liked it. I think you have a great premise here. If we were to include the imperial fleet though, I think the empire would win just out of sheer number. I do think those MAC cannons could one shot star destroyers, as they can destroy ultra high alien tech ships, but the imperial fleet in addition to the death star would be quite a sizable enemy.
