People talk about real pilots in DCS, and how it might or might not be relevant. Matrix shows just how effective real,training is in DCS, he's generally extremely good in the cockpit and that calm control and situational awareness is really not often seen in DCS only pilots.

Greetings from Ukraine. Thank you guys for not forgetting about us. In an interview, a Ukrainian MiG-29 pilot said that it is more difficult to shoot down Iranian Shekhed 131/136 than cruise missiles. Because of less visibility on radars and a large difference in speed with the aircraft. The Russians will launch them at us at night. The MiG-29 is an aircraft from the 1980s with poor night vision. and bad radar. As I understand it, he shot down five Shahed 136s at night, but the last one damaged the plane with its debris and the pilot had to eject. Maybe he shot them down with guns. I am sure it will be easier with the F-16. But this winter we will again have to survive an attack on the electrical system without the help of F-16s. I don't know if we will manage this time. Last winter there were 2 blackouts, when the whole country was without electricity for more than a day. And the usual schedule was 4 hours there is electricity, then 4 hours there is no. And so it was from October to March.

Maybe strap some Stingers to the MiGs. They have an air to air variant but maybe some jury rigged MANPADS would work too. They are fire and forget and relatively inexpensive but have short range. Would need to pass close behind the target drone or missile before firing.

LOGIR would be a better choice than APKWS for a precision Hydra 70 variant in this scenario. LOGIR is fire and forget infrared guided. APKWS is laser guided.

except for the ATACMS, Ukraine's allies have not "removed" capabilities from the systems they delivered Ukraine will get AIM-120 for the F-16AM MLU's, it makes no sense not to because the technology is already being used on the NASAMS I am curious to know if they will also receive the JHMCS II cueing helmet and AIM-9X, those are also available for the MLU's

Kh-101. Almost 60-70 percent of cruise missiles lobbed at Ukraine are Kh-101's, they're one of the easiest to intercept, hardest or none intercepted so far the onyx.

Shame matrix couldn't get a 2 seat laser Harrier with Simba as radar/nav. Showing my age here lol. But sure was a modded gr3? (With a super pointy nose) Help me out Matrix, an tell me I don't have RAF dementia.

Harrier T. 4 had 2 seats and LRMTS in the nose, but would not have been able to use LANTIRN or APKWS.

@@grmatrix6358 Thanks Matrix 👍🇬🇧. I seen it doing a short landing at Carlisle Airport in heavy rain in the late 80s, when we flew there in a C152. I remember its pointy konk sticking out of a massive ploom of water kicked up from the Runway. Then we got buzzed by 2 A10s using us as target practice on way back to Teesside. Those were the days. 😉🤣🤣🤣

Why not try the hornet for with the tpod that can slave to the a/a radar and the rockets ? I’m sure if it’s possible to do with a hornet the viper would be able to do it if it had the assets available

@@robingroeneveld4169 sure thing, doesn't matter what you think as long as the missile is getting intercepted and saving lives, JSC corp who made the missile disagree with you tho, they say it's just an aeroballistic missile derivated from Iskander E👍, Russian propaganda may say it's "hypersonic" as in modern hypersonic that can maneuver to a degree to avoid AD, that's modern hypersonics like zircon, DF-17, LRHW not a ballistic missile that goes mach 5+ whatever launched from air.
